Honda 05-15 CRF450X Radiator Guards - Bare Aluminum

Fit perfect on my 08 450x! Beefy and look great, I now have piece of mind on the trail. You won’t regret purchase for the price.

This is probably the toughest radiator guards I've ever installed. Super heavy duty without being super heavy. They look great. I slammed a Locust tree without backing off the throttle (didn't have time to!) and the impact would have completely ruined my radiator without these guards and probably still would have with over half of the guards on the market!They do take up space. My temperature controlled fan will not fit now, but I knew that was a possibility when I ordered these. I took off one star because I used to own a motorcycle shop and have installed many different guards, but these are the hardest to install of any that I have ever put on. IF, and thats a big if, you receive a pair that aligns perfectly, I could see these going on relatively normally. However I expect the majority of people will end up cursing these to get them on. A couple of slight design changes, better quality control, or a size larger hole in key areas would solve the whole problem.I don't think you can find a stronger tougher guard on the market. But for most people, this will be the hardest to install set of guards on the market. And it wouldn't take much effort on the company's part to solve that problem. Because of that, I almost gave this a 3 star rating.

There are certainly more expensive guards/brace with higher fit and finish. But for the price, these work just fine. Everything lined up just fine during assembly. All the hardware fit and went together as unibiker intended. I crashed tested them too. I lay the bike down every once in a while and I know these braces have save my radiators. They fit well (see photos) as if Honda built it that way. I think these should be an essential part of any dirt bike and should come standard from the factory. I've heard people say that they feel the dynamics of the frame change with radiator braces like this. That it makes the bike too stiff and they refuse to use them. I'm not sure I believe that but okay. To that I say "alright, go ahead and bust your radiators. I hope your frame was flexible enough."

Fit perfectly, good protection for front of radiators, good bracing at sides. Great choice for a heavy duty radiator guard.
