David Sedaris schreibt einfach die besten Kurzgeschichten. Wenn ich das Wohnzimmer verlassen muß, weil ich meiner Familie "zu laut" lese, dann würde ich sagen, das Buch ist ein Volltreffer. Bücher sind natürlich immer Geschmackssache, aber meinen Geschmack hat es voll getroffen. Eine wirkliche kleine Perle für zwischendurch

I've always enjoyed listening to 'Meet David Sedaris' on Radio 4, so it was about time I purchased one of his books. 'Let's Explore Diabetes with Owls' contains some stories that regular listeners may be familiar with and a number that I hadn't heard before. Each one is written in his usual hilariously observant manner and you can almost hear him reading them in your head. With each story being quite short and relatively standalone, it's a good book if you only have the time to dip in and out, but still want the satisfaction of reading a complete story.Having been lucky enough to get tickets to one of his recordings, I managed to get my copy signed, which makes it even better!

This very amusing collection of 'life' stories, which everyone can relate to on some level, had me laughing out loud whilst waiting for the bus. Such a good book, I finished reading it in just one day!
