From Novice to Pro, this handy device is must for Budget Families to Families who cook together.Whilst there are several Youtube videos available most leave out critical information.Additional Recommended Items:1) Rice Cooker (Rice Makes up 2/3 of your sushi, having quality rice and well cooked is essential2) Baking Pan (before cooking wash the rice and let it dry for 20min evenly spread. After cooking pour a mixture of Rice Vinegar, sugar and salt over it then evenly press (not spread) it over the pan, this will allow you to press out even sections for the Sushi Maker)3) Chopping Knife (yes i know this comes with a knife, but i only use it for cutting the sushi not anything else as it might get damaged or wear out chopping hard veggies et cetera)

It works but the sushi ends up being huge. If you want to use up all the ingredients fast, this will work for you. I prefer rolling the sushi the traditional way and producing more delicate looking sushi but who has time for that now! My helper uses this mold when kids are in the mood for sushi. It saves her a lot of time and effort. Kids don’t mind the slightly misshapen and definitely oversized sushi so there’s no need to bother with the traditional way when I’d rather do something else with that time. The paddle and the knife arrived in the set are so low quality to be honest but I guess everyone needs a cheap knife they can use for open jars or whatever and not be sad if it bent or broke. The paddle became a sand toy. Use a silicone spatula or a proper bamboo paddle instead if you have it. Also, if your kids are too young to properly chew nori, you can mold rice in these molds without nori around. FYI.

The moulder are big and the makki is loose and soft. I tried once and ended up using the traditional makki mat.

Does not work well! Bamboo is much better.

I didn’t like this product!!mold's capacity is too big, that requires too much rice and other ingredients, and the final sushi product is too big! the mold’s size should be reduced to the half size for a successful result.
