Stylish, practical & easy to keep clean, these are so much better than melamine & not much heavier.

The sets of dishes came within just a few days of ordering, very well packed, nothing was broken. I love these dishes. They replace a set of dark pottery that I've had for 30 some years and I love how light they are, in color and in weight. They stack beautifully in my cupbard, and dishwasher. The "salad" plates are large enough to use for dinner plates, but the dinner plates are perfect for a large meal. I could not be happier with my new every-day dishes.

Corelle is a great everyday dining set that will last a long time, is lightweight, is attractive and is reasonably priced. We had a set of stoneware that we have used for years, but it was VERY heavy, did not fit the dishwasher well, but it was very attractive with large square plates, cups and bowls.The Corelle corrects the flaws while retaining the appearance and size benefits. We chose this design because it adds interest without clashing with the food presentation - i just don't like lots of colors in the design. In addition, there is a large selection of open stock pieces (both in this pattern and in plain white) that let you accommodate almost any serving need. Caveat - the open stock pieces are not cheap - it is MUCH more cost effective to buy the set and then add on only what you require.I have found Corelle to be VERY durable - the only piece I have broken was a large serving bowl dropped from about 40" onto a ceramic tile floor. It literally exploded. But I have dropped smaller pieces onto wood, carpet and vinyl tile with no breakage at all.AND - TWO entire 16 piece sets (8 settings) easily fit into our dishwasher - a definite plus.
