For black, after going through two refills this third one works like a charm, like cutting butter with a hot knife. As for this Brown Medium refill, it is the same experience I have had with the first two black medium refills. Skipping is noticeable and especially annoying when trying to write small. Would I recommend this? Yes, it is a nice color. If you are someone who is not used to putting out a lot of cash for pens, then I would not recommend this refill because I am not overly impressed by it. I think the fine point refills from Fisher are far superior. Maybe I have had bad luck but I am just sharing my personal experience.

I've been using Fisher Space Pens for 30 years. They write upside down, on glossy paper, hot and cold. They are smooth to write with, and the bullet pens fit easily in my jeans pocket. I was happy to find an unusual ink color. The purple is dark enough to be clear, yet light enough to show as purple.Over the years I've had bad refills that leaked or skipped, and bullet pens that came apart, or had the color flake off. The quality of the pens is variable, but the company stands behind them. I have gotten several replacements when I bothered to complain. You just have to decide whether it's worth your time for a few dollar product. When they work, they work great for a long time.5 stars for this purchase. The refill I bought in February is still working great in daily usage in September.

this product is DARK almost hunter green, the line is so small and the ink is so dark I had a hard time differentiating it from black. the product is as advertised however it is much darker than the packaging makes it appear...

I purchased a Fisher Pen for bedtime use. Yeah, call me lazy but sometimes I have things I need to write down at night. This requires more effort of writing sideways / upside down. I had to change the ink color. I love pens... this is just not my favorite pen or refill. It does a great job for someone who loves efficiency with a pen. I have about a dozen favorite pens I rotate on a daily basis, so this works perfect for bedside use.

I've be pretty fixed on Fisher space pens for a few years. This green ink is a game changer, and my new favorite. It's dark enough so I can use it on what ever I want, so score 100 for that. I haven't used it up yet so I can't speak to longevity other than it has lasted long enough for me to go ahead and write a review.

I got mine for $5.00 including shipping from Botach Tactical. Good price, but I got old stock which doesn't write very well. It says "PL2 B#1 RR 2/11", so it's from February 2011. It also says "$5.00" on the refill body, so it was made before they increased the price to $6.The black refill which came with my pen writes much more smoothly with less skipping and more consistent lines, but it's also dated 12/12 and $6 so it's a newer batch and might include improvements.So, I recommend getting one priced at $6 (or $5.10, when using the minimum advertisable price) so you can get newer stock.It otherwise writes well and looks good (for a Fisher pen, which pales compared to gel pens); I just have to press a bit harder than I do with my newer black refill. The purple ink is a nice fit for my 400RB rainbow-colored space bullet pen, and I use it a lot because it's small and convenient to carry in a purse pocket with a tiny paper notebook.

Writes on many surfaces and angles, great value for price

The colour is nice and stands out subtly (it's not in your face). It's smooth to write with. I would recommend it if you want something different.

The colour purple and being Fine did not give me a strong stroke for my Art display labels,The flow was good, but the line was faint.James

Great deep colour

Bought a Fisher for my wife which she says is the bees knees for lying in bed doing her wordsearches, so the ink is used at a great rate of knots hence the refills that I have to buy besause it's me that bought the pen. LOL
