Love it one of my best purchases

I absolutely love this LED/RGB wand by Sokani, the options and applications of it are almost endless!Starting with the brand, Sokani is a well-known manufacturer and I own a few products of theirs with one of them being my favorite wireless microphone set, naturally when I saw this light wand and I wanted to try it right away, simple knowing the higher quality products of Sokani. I am glad that I was not wrong, the X25 is an excellent product that is almost perfect, but about that, a little later.Starting for with the packaging, everything is very well packaged and well protected, plus a large sticker outside of the ox to describe the major options and features of the wand. Inside you have a nice padded and over the shoulder strapped case, that is housing the wand itself, the power cable and the power brick, which is using the barrel style plug, oppose to the more convenient USB-C or Micro USB, the remote control, but sadly no batteries provided, user manual in English and last but not least, a small tripod to mount the wand on it and have it popped up.One of the minor negatives is that barrel plug charger, I would have preferred to be a USB-C, which would have expanded the possibilities to use different chargers. Another one is remote control, although very functional, it feels cheap and flimsy, luckily the functionality is not suffering, as the all the options are duplicated between the remote and controls on the wand. The third and probably the most knit picky thing is the branding on the opposite side of the LEDs, its not a sticker, but just a printed paper that is stuck inside the tube and is moving/shifting while you are using the wand. Maybe the last negative for me is the fact that the power brick and the power cable can't be placed inside the carrying case for the wand, forcing you to carry them separately.Now with all the positives, I have to say that they are outweighing the negatives by a lot, the light produced by the wand in nice and clear, bright and crisp, there are so many options to choose from, different color temperatures, light effects, individual RGB settings...there something for everyone. I use it in my video production process, and I love all these options, they are creating a helpful backdrop lighting, foreground fond, different effects. There is a built in 3000mah battery that is lasting up to 3h of use with 50% of brightness set and 1.5h with 100%, the charge time is very fast, around 2h.I love the fact that there is a full LCD display on the wand and on the remote that is showing all the modes and options, plus the battery life and even the operating temperature. Sokani has built in an out safe temperature option, if the temperature reaches over 60C and for over 5 minutes, the wand will automatically lower the brightness to 70%, if the temperature stays over 60C for over 10 minutes, the X25 would auto lower the brightness to 40%.The wand had 1/4-inch thread on both ends and can be mounted on a huge number of tripods and stands, plus if you have a multiple wands of the same type, they can be synced together to form one unified light.Overall, I really like this light and use it daily, it only needs a few minor adjustments, and it can perfect.

(see photo) A bit odd.Tripod mounts at both ends of light tube, along with vents for any heat. (ends are made of aluminum)I attached the tripod to the bottom and you can use the top mount for something else.The On Off switch is located at bottom right side. Opposite side is where you can plug in the DC power to charge.Front diffuser panel is built in, you can't see individual LEDs, just the color that you set. Very nice.The back of the light wand under the back clear plastic, is a print out of the controls and values, nice quick reference.Also if you are reading this text the display is correct, then the controls are sideways.Would like to see all 3 in the same direction. If the display could rotate with software or something.The controls are 4 small round buttons and 2 bigger buttons with dials built in. Nice feedback and easy to use.The color coming out of this looks great. Love that you have soo much control and the colors are accurate.You get RGB and you get the bi-color white. 2800K very warm all the way to 10000K very cool light.You can adjust in increments of 100, then you can dim in increments of 1. Very nice control.All of the adjustments are this good.The FX options are great for video.RemoteTwo AAA batteries will be needed.You also get a hand strap included, attaches to the bottom right side.The remote is the SOKANI RC-RGB and will work with multiple SOKANI X25-RGB lights.Remote has 12 buttons, and they all are really clicky, caution if your getting audio out of your camera.Remote does not turn on the light, also will not turn off the light. The ON OFF button is only for the remote power.You can only control X25-RGB lights with this remote, as other SOKANI lights have different model # remotes.Overall the remote works perfectly and controlling your light from a distance is a plus.TripodVery compact and lightweight.Made good, all 3 legs have rubber feet.The light will stay in place.Carry bagA nice black padded bag with shoulder strap.Has a metal zipper running along the top, easy to open and close.Fits the light and user manual. You will need to put the remote,DC power adapter plus cable and tripod into another bag.OverallGreat RGB light tube with built in battery and accurate color.Can easily be used by anyone and would make a very good gift.Hope this was helpful.
