I've joined Discogs to catalogue my CD's/LP's. I couldn't face typing in every barcode to find the item I wanted to enter on the database, so I thought I'd treat myself to a barcode reader. The Tera 2D has worked brilliantly. I've already put 55 iems into Discogs. The barcode reader is so easy to use. There's no software to install. it just plugs into the USB port on your computer. You go into Discogs search and away you go. Now I bought it specifically for this purpose, so cannot comment on other uses, but, for me this has been a great buy.

I use a wireless one by the same manufacture at work that I found good but this one non wireless was better. A nice long lead and very responsive even from a slow USB port. The light that lights up the scanner makes it scan things quickly and accurately even if the item to be scanned has see through packaging. Older scanners struggle with this but not this one.Completely satified and a perfect choice for the personal scanning project I embarked upon.

Easy to setup, just plug and scan! Quick to scan barcodes and QR codes too!

For the money this is an excellent little hand scanner and does the job I need it to do.

Price-wise it's ok as it was the cheapest.Regarding the functionality, it does not work as good as I would like, in particular, many small barcodes cannot be read (I tried in all the way possible, close, far, side, no way).Also, If two barcodes are close to each other, pointing the red light to the one you want to read it's not reliable. it will "decide on its own" which one to pick up.

Excellent scanner. Does the job and is easy to use..plug in and go!
