Q: From reviewers pictures, this appears to be similar to regular black duct tape. What is the difference from using this and duct tape?

Great question. This tape uses a different top material that is not shiny like duct tape. Also, the scrim (fabric backing mesh) is much denser and tougher. It has a better sheen in appearance than duct tape and looks much more like leather.

Q: Would it work on a cracked dashboard? Will it blend well if I get the correct color?

Hi, it would work temporarily but will fade in color over time as the inks are not UV resistant. Our 3” wide synthetic leather tape would work better and it’s more flexible allowing easier covering contours.

Q: Would this be a good product to repair car seats

It really depends on where the repair is. if it's on the back of the seat or an area where you are not directly sitting on it it will work well. If it is a rounded area that you are sitting on (under duress daily) we recommend you use our Black Repair Patch that is a synthetic leather instead of a printed tape product. The patch also feels and behaves like real leather. People often use that product for lawnmower seats and car seats.
