Danny the Champion of the World by Roald Dahl - Paperback

Love this book, always a favourite of mine as a child. Bought it for my daughter but we haven't got to read it yet as we are going through others. But great condition, and excellent delivery.

I have revisited this book with my 5yr old son. We both enjoyed this story very much and just goes to show that some books never date! Roald Dahl and Enid Blyton should be part of every childs upbringing as they are all full of adventure, fun and happy endings. This is a great story of the adventure of a father and his son who go poaching in the forest. Danny goes on to rescue his dad from the forest after he has an accident. A very simple idea made exciting and heartwarming right from the start for both adults and children. The characters are interesting and instantly likeable and i would challenge anyone to read this and not find the experience thoroughly enjoyable

Right up there with Charlie and the chocolate factory, BFG, Matilda, Fantastic Mr Fox.Maybe even better then the Twits ( apart from the 1st half of the book). Better than James and the Giant Peach in my personal opinion. Oh, and also more less as good as, er, that one about the magic medicine.If you like all of the above you'll love this too. My kids love 'em all and I love reading 'em to them!It goes without saying that the art work is up to the usual high standard.

Son aged 9 loved this he said it was really good and easy to follow.

My first Prime purchase. Sat at home watching the One Show and saw a segment on this book. I read this when I was much younger so ordered a copy at about 1930 yesterday evening, by 0900 today, it was on my doormat.A classic read and I'm really looking forward to rereading it.
