Jones Stephens J44-150 1-1/2" Ram Bit Socket Saver, Pack of 1, No Color

I purchased this from Amazon after not finding one locally. I had a broken grey water pipe on my rv and did not want to purchase a new discharge valve. I was able to use this tool to drill the old busted pipe to 1-1/2” on the valve and the 90 coming from the tank. This tool makes an easy repair to a plumbing problem in just minutes.

This worked great to ream out a broken pipe that needed to be replaced but was stuck in an old fitting. Replacing the entire T-fitting would have been a nightmare. This quickly and easily allowed me to clear out the old pipe and install a new one. My only issue was the bit was too large for a couple of my drills.

Worked better than I actually expected. Cut a damaged pipe out of a san tee relatively quick and easy.

Honestly I wasn't sure it would work, broke off section on pool pump and was thinking i'd have a costly fix to replace all the pieces to get it reconnected. Few minutes with this and a drill and some pvc cement and I was back in action.

Bought this item after looking at it on a YouTube video. I am a DIYer so I practiced on a old PVC joint before using, which helped figure out exactly how to use it. Gotta say, it was well worth the money, and very easy to use. I was surprised how sturdy the tool is - especially for the price. If you have to reuse a joint this tool works great at cleaning out the existing pipe. The only issue, it did not fit my regular go to drill as the stem was too large for it, and had to use my 1/2" power drill. This is the reason for the 4 stars on ease of use, as I am glad I had the larger drill.

Worked as should

This 1.5" saver actually worked. It did what it was suppose to do. I will be keeping this tool, to bad the other was not the right size. I would tell this to my friends who screw up their plumbing jobs. LOL

My black ABS, drain in the laundry room was leaking, imagine that a water pipe that leaked never. At the connection point going through the floor so I had to hack saw off the top portion and then use my new found friend the cutting wheel to bore open the connecting piece in or at floor level, to be able to glue a new piece on continuing up to the hack sawed off piece. It worked cut fast cut slow, be straight.

Wow, this tool saved me a lot of time, aggravation, and money, worked perfectly, fitting accepted new piece with no issues. absolutely happy!
