This Black Series snowspeeder doesn't disappoint. Well-sculpted with realistic paint job. A minor issue is that the cockpit can be challenging to open, but I just use a coin to flip it open. If you have the Luke Skywalker action figure, you can pair it up with the Dak Ralter action figure provided, letting them sit back-to-back as shown in the ESB movie. This is my favourite ship from my favourite SW movie, so it's a worthy addition to my SW collection. Now if only they'll release a Black Series AT-AT...

I've been a fan of (what were back then) Kenner Star Wars figures since I was little back in the 70's. Like so many though my collection got given away over the years once I left home.The black series has been a great opportunity to collect many of my most beloved items again but in a more detail and far more impressive scale.Something I always hankered for were the vehicles but we could never afford them (though I did save up for a Speeder in time). The Snowspeeder used to be one of those that I most eyed with envy, I loved it.I became aware of this last year prior to release and with all the great reviews. At the time though the price soared quickly as it sold out so I decided to wait. Luckily for me it came back down in time for me to get it for my 50th birthday.I am delighted. It is truly massive, as I should have expected from the reviews and in 6 inch scale. It's also very detailed and looks like a battered and bruised snow speeder. It is full of detail, including it's right side engine covering being removable if you want to show the internals, an extendable tow line, working landing gear if you are displaying standing up and a bunch of detail in the cockpit.The set comes with poor doomed Dak, a figure that I've not seen before in an action figure, and essential really in making this a full set. It doesn't come with a Luke figure (unsurprising when you consider the figures along are 20 quid), but his Hoth pilot has been highly available for ages and I would highly recommend getting it with this set to make it truly complete.Overall I just love this. The best version of the my favourite set. If you have space for it and you collect the Black Series then this is highly recommended.
