Excellent piece of kit
Expensive ? Yes. But what a piece of technology! Well built, quiet and easy to use. As its summer we haven't use the heater function in earnest but an accidental start up gave an indication that it would be ideal. The unit is quite large and is currently located in our bedroom which is not that big. It fits in well and is very quiet on night mode. Very impressed!

A fantastic investment
This was a considered purchase. Yes there are cheaper fans out there but I have always found Dyson products to be excellent. Having done my research and checked reviews, I decided to purchase and I am glad that I did!This fan is excellent, it can be linked to an app on your smart phone which allows you to control it when you’re not in the room/building.I love that it has a hot and cold function, although the cold function is clearly what misleads people. It is NOT an air conditioning unit and as such won’t make your room a fridge! But it moves the air around to create a solid breeze. I haven’t found it overly noisy and have even left it on normal mode over night (I do suffer with tinnitus so I find the fan noise gentle and soothing).It also appears to be cost effective, I have a smart meter and don’t believe it’s made a huge difference to my energy consumption.I look forward to cooler months when I can try the heat element, but for now I’m still making use of the cool fan part!
