Abysmal battery life
Even with power saving, airplane mod, and restrictions on background apps, it only last 8 hours on one full charge.Don't buy if you can't charge it throughout the day

Great device let down by battery
This may be irrelevant now that the A105 has been replaced by the A306, but I suspect the experience is similar. It was my 4rd digital Walkman after the A15 and the A35, the latter of which I still use but is more complex and longer to synch than the A105 (to iTunes). Essentially the Android interface makes for many more listening options via all the apps out there e.g. BBC Sounds or streaming, which is a significant advantage over the A35, plus the larger touchscreen. So why not just use an android phone? You can, but the Walkman is sooo much more compact, and the audio is better, and frees up your phone to be, well a phone or whatever you use it for. The main problem with the A105 (and from what I've read to some extent the A306 still) is that Sony seem to have used a frugal A35 type battery (which lasts over 2 weeks on standby) on a power hungry android phone type device. Booting up alone will use up 5% of the total, and I can "only" get 6 hours play time before it dies, which may be enough on some days but it's an unecessary pain. Otherwise it's a mainstay of my weekends, and with a 256 microSD card, it manages my entire iTunes library of nearly 28,000 songs (I should get out more) via iSyncr and Rocket player.

16GB capacity but only 20% truly available
Deeply disappointed by the product that I bought for my daughter.Sony says that its Walkman has 16GB capacity but fails to mentions that 80% is already taken for system and apps (most of them you cannot delete).Same with the battery: can’t believe they could not come with a longer battery time.Probably the last time I am buying Sony.
