Have been using it for 1 year now. No issues.

Welder is ok for learning and basic play with batteries. Unfortunately, once you try to repair anything or do something requiring power it falls flat.This is the newest model and the quality is much better than the older models. Welded on the highest settings for some time and the device is still in one piece.Unfortunately, I need more juice. This welder welds only nickel strips. Tried to weld different materials and it doesn't hold. Moreover, I couldn't weld a single 0.2mm nickel strip. So if you plan on welding 0.1-0.15mm nickel strips it will be ok.If you plan on repairing any device with existing steel strips or need to weld a high power battery pack, this welder will not be sufficient. In my opinion, it is much better to spend twice or three times the money to buy something much more capable as this device is really underpowered.

Works very well without any mods. Just need to use the right kind of battery. I used a 5200mAH 45C Lipo battery and even at 15E setting I could weld a 0.12 pure nickel strip very well.
