Use only use one campden tablet per gallon of must. Crush tablets well, then mix in with the must. Be sure to add it to must 24 hours before pitching your wine yeast. If you are impatient and pitch the yeast too soon, the campden will kill it too. Campden can also be used to make a sanitizing solution for winemaking equipment. Each tablet contains 0.50 - 0.55 grams of potassium metabisulfite; chemically speaking, each tablet contains 57% Sulphur content; therefore, 1 tablet per gallon = 75 Ppm So2.

Did what I needed it to,arrived just in time, although one of batches ended up having clumps suspended,make sure you fully powderize the tablets and dissolve it separately beforeAdding it your pre-ferment or to kill active yeast past going past their active phase

Weight was under advertised on packaging and half were crushed to dust
Sorry but I am very unsatisfied. I weighed the bag and the net weight was well under what it was supposed to be. by 2 oz. Also half were crushed to dust. I did not return because it was not worth my time or travel to post office. I will try and make due with what I have. I will not be buying again.

Easier to measure out than the powder
I make my own wine/mead/cider. These are much easier to meter out to get the right mix for killing wild yeasts or for sanitizing equipment.
