This had been on my wishlist for a long time. I finally ordered it and I was not disappointed! It’s so pretty, and the details of the design are just lovely. It’s lightweight, whistles nicely, opens and pours easily, and has a push button to close spout. Great piece!

UPDATE with photo: Several years later and still as beautiful and functional as the day I bought it. With the proper care.I was a little hesitant to purchase this kettle due to so many reviews of rusting and burning, etc. However, after having and using this kettle for 6+ months mine is just as beautiful, functional, and rust free as the day I bought it. Such a gorgeous and delicate piece does require some care, however if you want to keep it beautiful, functional and rust free. This is not the kind of kettle that you can just throw onto a gas flame on high and leave sitting filled with water for 2 weeks in between uses. With a little care and consideration for the product, it will last and be usable for a very long time I imagine.First, if you're using a gas burner, heat on medium heat. Do not crank the burner up so that the flames engulf around the base of the kettle. That's how you get burns on the beautiful design. Yes, it takes a little longer for the water to heat up, but it also preserves the integrity of the kettle. I would say, turn the burner on as high as it will go WITHOUT the flames wrapping around the sides of the kettle for best results.Second, don't let water sit in the kettle between uses. After you use it, empty the water out and take off the lid. Wipe the excess water from the lid with a paper towel and place the kettle (without lid) back onto the burner you just used to heat your tea water. Make sure the burner is set to off and the spout of the kettle is open. The residual heat from the burner should be enough to evaporate any water left in the kettle after draining. Once the excess water has evaporated, you can return your dried kettle lid to the kettle and store it on the stovetop or wherever you choose without having to worry about rust.That's all. Super simple. Just a couple of things to keep in mind if you want this beautiful kettle to last and stay gorgeous.

If you have to leave a kettle on your stove for lack of space this is the one!! It is such a nice looking piece. I read some of the reviews that mention the handle was hot and the paint chipped...do not belive those reviews they are not true. The only way that could possibly happen is if they put it on a gas burner on high heat for awhile and it CLEARLY states in the item description low to med heat... so if that happened it was most definitely the buyers fault. Also it whistles perfectly, is easy to clean with a handle brush and the lid...ohhhh the lid. That was one of the main reasons I chose this kettle. Unlike the ones that have a screw and a knob (which I hate because eventually the screw gets stripped from daily removal and falls inti the kettle) this one has a nice looking, easy to remove and cool to the touch lid. I guess you can tell I am super happy with this purchase!

Needed a whistling one so this is pretty and perfect

We've only had this kettle for a few days. After washing and rinse, we put three kettles of water thru it without a single issue. It does whistle just fine (tho not quite as pretty as our older kettle). Things we like : 1) it's looks. Very nice. 2) The style, also very nice. 3) The tight fitting lid and whistle cap, both seal tightly and do not allow any steam to escape. 4) The attractive and sturdy handle and very handy push-button action of the whistle cap. It's a good design. 5) The handles do not get too hot to handle! Very Important.Things we would like to see improved: 1) Make this out of a little thicker gauge material (metal portion of the kettle). 2) A slightly larger opening in the top for adding water. However, it fills easily enough with a measuring cup dispenser (we use a two-cup glass measuring cup with pour spout).All three kettles of water came to a boil pretty fast due to the conductivity of the thin metal bottom. All three fill-ups were with captured rain water (softest water on the planet) and so far no stains left behind on the inside of the kettle. In a few months I will report back about its durability and performance. I might also add that due to a couple of negative reviews here I checked and tightened all screws carefully before we began using. There were only two screws that weren't already very tight. I corrected that with a medium-sized Phillips head screwdriver. Should they loosen I will treat them with a small dab of Lock-Tite and that should prevent them from ever loosening again. So far, so good. 4.5 stars.

Hubby bought this for me for Christmas! I love the look of it! Glad the top and handle are not real wood- but it looks like real. The handle and lid are well made. Only tried it once so far but works great and the whistle is fine. I have a glass top stove and no problem. I have wanted a teakettle for a long time and I love this one!

I’ve been using this tea pot since Nov 2023 on a gas stove. I’ve used it about 3 times a week on average. From the beginning the handle would retain heat causing me to have to use an oven mitt to pour the water. I now can’t use the handle at all because it has melted and charred. Also the heat from my gas stove has caused the pot to discolor to a reddish tint. I do not recommend this tea pot if you have a gas stove. It will not last.

I have an induction stove. It is much faster than my older kitchen aid electric kettle
