I purchased this as a replacement seat for the original, four years old, which had been damaged by the wrong cleaning produces. New seat arrived in a couple of days and was easy to install. Six weeks later, the slow-closing feature no longer worked. Turned out one of the retarder caps had been missing from the original purchase. I called Supply.com's toll free number, got a very helpful and polite person in customer service. I asked if there was a replacement cap. What can I say? It’s a toilet seat cover. It was expensive, but I got a big percentage off. The one that originally came with the toilet bowl somehow got yellowish and brownish and looked terrible. So far this one is standing up much better than the first. I think I got a dud with the original toilet.
