Attractive, stylish pen
I collect vintage pens, but unlike some people who like vintage I also enjoy moderns, in particular Chinese pens, which are among the great bargains of the pen world. Hero has long been the #1 Chinese brand, with an almost dizzying range of pens. I probably have as many Hero pens as Wahl, my favorite vintage brand. This is classic Hero, stylish, creative, interesting. If i would have one complaint it's that the nib is quite rigid, but that's not a criticism, it's just a personal preference. Some people have compared it to the Pilot Metropolitan. they're about the same size and similar price range. This pen is more unusual in its design. I find myself holding it up to the light and just looking at it. On the other hand, the Metropolitan has several nib choices. Small bonus feature here--if you want to post the pen the cap screws on to the end of the barrel, with the threads subtly placed. I just now noticed it (but then, I don't post my pens). All in all, a real treat for the money.

Really Gorgeous Pen!
The pen is beautiful and comes in a lovely and giftable box. The pen writes nicely with a wet flow and includes an international standard converter. Be sure to include ink if you plan to penable someone! The cap has a three and a half rotation unscrew, which means it could inconvenient for someone who takes the cap on and off frequently. There is threading on the back of the pen which makes it nicely postable. The pen has a lovely metal weight and nice finishing throughout. This would be a great gift and would work well for newbies or enthusiasts!

this pen flows well and has an excellent feel in the hand
This metal Hero writes very smoothly, with an appropriate ink flow, even though it is an extra fine nib.I don't usually like the feel of metal fountain pens, compared to enamel finished or cellulose. But there is something about the texture embossed into this pen that makes it feel very comfortable.And, of course, it is an excellent value for the money.The box is solid and well made, not just a cheap afterthought. This would make a very nice gift.

Jewery box with a jewel of a pen inside
I love everything about this pen! Beautifuly textured clamshell box which compliments the lacquered gun metal gray chased design pen. Matching gray fine nib, English instructions, ink converter (you must supply the ink) are also incl. The cap twists off to expose the nip. It also screws on to securely post. The pen writes well in everyday paper. I really enjoy using this pen.
