Not the same experience as others!
I have run about fifty bf of newly planed maple and cherry through my jointer with these blades and already have a couple of minor chips in the blades. And if your wondering, no I didn’t hit any nails, screws or anything except virgin wood. Maybe I got a bad lot or a poorly sharpened set but based on this experience I won’t order these blades again. Which is too bad because the first few feet I was really impressed and thought what a great deal these blades were.

Did not last.
I was using these blades in my jointer trimming white oak. I just put the blades in new. The oak had no nails, staples, or anything unexpected. Before the day was out, there were several nicks in the blades. While the oak was rough sawn, I saw nothing that should nick the blades.I will be looking for a different manufacturer for my next set. I will not sharpen them unless I do it myself because to get them resharpened by a pro costs more than the original blades.

Good blades, will be buying a few sets.
I will be buying multiple sets of these. These aren't exactly meant for my craftsman jointer, but I am lucky enough to have set screws to set the depth rather than having to worry about clamping them. My blade depth is actually 9/16th, not 11/16th, but that wasn't anything to sneeze at. Now onto performance. After setting the depth up correctly and trying my first piece with excellent success, the wood felt like butter. It came off so smooth I almost rubbed my face against it. Longevity is going to be the kicker, I hope these last long. I usually cut soft woods, so when I get to oak, I hope they perform just as well.

Perfect fit for 44 year old jointer
I just put these in a 1976 Craftsman 6 1/8" jointer-planer. They fit perfectly, were exact replacements for the original knives that were in the machine. They are working quite well. I should have done this 40 years ago. A local shop wanted $6.00 per blade to sharpen the originals. That's more than these were new from Amazon.

Works on my old craftsman jointer
I picked up a craftsman jointer (113.206891) and figured I should replace the blades to be safe. This seemed much easier than sharpening the existing blades. These blades were a perfect fit.

Very good choice of replacement jointer blades.
I bought a old jointer at a auction for 35.00. Brought it home and disassembled it. Cleaned and oiled everything. The knives were dull and I dropped them off to have them sharpened. Having little patience waiting to get them back I elected to try these new ones. A great choice. Using the jointer now and it works like a new one!!

They worked just fine and stayed sharp through about 600 to 1000 bd feet. But when I went to sharpen them I noticed they all were slightly bent from sitting in the jointer. I spent an entire day working these on some diamond stones to straight and then noticed on the last one that I was able to bend the blade by hand, of which I could not straighten back up. I’m now buying my second set in a year so take that for what it’s good for.

Easier than sharpening, faster and cheaper too.
Used these as a replacement on my old craftsman, they were perfect.I will never get my blades sharpened ever again, so much easier and faster to just get these!I've already run 50+ boards with these blades and no flaws yet, so I would highly recommend.
