Works great for my particular model of hot water heater. Replace the original rod from my hot water heater

This was a perfect replacement. It was an easy removal and install. I reused the heat trap from the original, which was as in a coupler fitting above the old anode. I had plenty of room above the water heater to install this new anode. No issues at all. You should measure the overhead clearance before ordering if in doubt.

Worked great in our 40 gallon Bradford White RG240T6N. Rod needed 6 inches chopped off the end to get it to drop in from above the heater.....I may invest in split/flex rods on a bendable cable core for comparison next time.After 4years Denver municipal water had not greatly eaten away the factory original rod, but part of scheduled maintenance is double checking anyway. I am glad to have the pure magnesium rod ....unclear if the other was Aluminum ....probable ....but unconfirmed. I prefer the peace of mind I'm not dosing the family with more Aluminum per annum. (Worked for an AL bauxite mining Co. for years ...it's a great metal ....but has drawbacks too).Hope this review helps.
