Exact replacement for original cutter
An exact replacement for original cutter. Well-designed with a rounded outer edge to prevent the trailing edge from rubbing on the trough it cuts. HSS cutter has a decent life before you need to resharpen (I only cut woods with it). I think carbide would be better, though more expensive and you can't sharpen it to the same very sharp edge you can get with HSS. I sharpen using a waterstone Tormek machine. A bit overpriced.

I think I bought the wrong item. I need a circle cutter for metal.
I tried to cut a circle on a thin metal sheet. The blade simply melted! I may have bought blades with the wrong specs. Do you have similar blades that can be used to cut thin sheet metal that can be used with No. 55 Circle Cutter? Note: i bough this one too.
