Great value
I keep this in my fridge so I always have fresh filtered water on tap. Highly recommend the shape of this is great and hardly takes away fridge space because it is so long/tall and skinny. Would recommend!

PUR wants your money
I've been using PUR dispensers and filters for nearly 20 years. Recently, I bought a new version of their dispenser that has a light that flashes to show when your filter is good and when it needs to be replaced. I must have forgotten that all PUR filter reader information says your filter needs to be replaced every 100 gallons. Well, I did some digging, and it turns out that's not entirely true. PUR would LIKE you to replace your filter every 100 gallons, but filters can be used much longer than advertised; they're just not guaranteed past 100 gallons.Just imagine if all PUR dispenser owners replaced their $10 filters every month.

most convenient
the pitcher-filters are heavy and unbalanced to handle after filling. this unit stays in the fridge and more water can be poured in the top conveniently, in easier-to-handle quantities. it also holds more water. i do not know if the interior depth of fridges is standardized, since this filter is long. in our fridge, it fit just right- only the spout hangs over its shelf, for ease of filling a glass. the spout does extend into the space for shelves inside the door, and we moved one door shelf to avoid conflict. so it works fine for us. as to the PUR filter, we use the lead etc. removing filter. my wife thinks it does an excellent job, while i dont use the filtered water, preferring that water be a vehicle for coffee (and our tap water is ok for coffee). summary- well-designed, easier to use than pitcher-type filters.

Wow. I mean....
I've had this over a year now and there's been enough water to fill a few pools that has been consumed from it! I love this thing. I keep another regular jug above it in the fridge to keep the water cold filtered as the manufacturer suggests. I also really hate plastic bottle waste, and this alleviates me from that shame lol. The flavor, so long as you use the OEM PUR Brand filters is just great. A tiny bit acidic on my pH test. Nothing an alkaline stick doesn't cure.

Love the taste, dispenser leaks
I want to love this dispenser. It fits in the refrigerator well and is easy to use. The water tastes great. However, the faucet for the dispenser leaks small drips constantly. I had to actually take it out of the refrigerator because it was flooding the inside and put it on the counter with a bucket underneath it on the floor.

Do the research-PUR filters outperform the rest for the same price. Well, close enough.
Only took about 15 minutes online to find stats showing PUR filters best the rest. Easily. I bought a Brita pitcher, and I find this PUR spout far superior, and overall much easier to use. Also, the Brita filter clogged VERY quickly on our hard water. No contest.

Drains ridiculously slow, and I've tried everything
These filters drain WAYYYY too slow. We're talking like an inch of water in a day. I've tried everything that the manufacturer recommends, and just nothing is working. I love the design of the narrow dispenser however.

SO SLOW
Sure, the filters work… eventually. You get make one cup an hour with these filters. You can look up videos of ways to help make them filter more quickly, but the methods don’t really work. It maybe worked one time, but didn’t last very long. I ended up returning this and getting a Brita pitcher from Target instead, and I couldn’t recommend that more.
