So nice so good quality but we didn’t have the big Ants but the small was not bad

I didn’t even end up opening this product because apparently there is a coupon or something for live ants inside but they only ship within the United States. I was lost before I even got started with this thing so I ended up passing it along to someone else. I was hoping for an easy set that I could just request ants for and be good to go. It was a lot more involved than that here in Canada and I didn’t see anything about those ants only being available in the US before ordering. It was disappointing for our family.

Pretty good ant farm. It’s very thin so easy to see the ants tunnelling. The sand it comes with is terrible and the ants died pretty quickly so we used plain old backyard soil and the ants were much happier. We also caught ants from our backyard to use and they thrived. The dropper and thin stick that come with it are very handy tools. We bought 2 of these right away and connected them with the connector tubes and the ants were happy to have a larger habitat for tunnelling. Would buy again.

Can't even buy ants for it in BC. Apparently it's illegal to trap and hold BC native species, and that includes ants. Why is this even sold to BC if you can't get ants for it here?

This product is not recommended. It is hard to take out the dead ants and also hard to remove any uneaten food. None of the ants were able to dig tunnels, because the sand is too soft.

terrible product, based on the reviews i had high expectation but we were very disappointed. first it says you get a coupon for free ants, well its in USA only... buying from amazon canada and having it in the description I assumed it would work in canada. Second we spent two hours in the backyard catching ants and putting them in and we put it on the kitchen counter to realize the ants were getting out from the small air holes on top, very very bad design
