Q: Is it good for picking up pet hair?

Yes, I have 2 chihuahuas and their bedroom is carpeted and this one does a good job, I owned it since 2014 and just twice I had to take it apart and cleaned very carefully between the handle and the base but that’s it, I have a roomba and a bigger heavy duty vacuum and the sharp is my first choice unless I forgot to put it back in the charge.

Q: Can it handle kitty litter?

I use the Breeze system of kitty litter and it works fine. These pellets are larger than regular little so I'm sure it will work.

Q: Will it suck up items as large as cheerios? I have a smaller stick vacuum and it is worthless for vacuuming up anything cheerio-sized.

I didn't have any cheerios but did have wheat chex. I gave the test and it ate it right up!! So yes..it will suck up cheerio-sized pieces. I vacuum up a lot of beauty bark that our dog tracks in.

Q: I would use this primarily on tile floors and hardwood. Is it worth buying for that use only? So tired of using a broom several times a day.

I would definitely buy it for hard floors and tile, it works great for daily pick up of hair and general dust. it's lightweight and easy to use but most important you won't have to pick up the sweepings from a broom.

Although powerful, it is a waste of money.

Although powerful, it only runs for around 15 minutes, if you are lucky and, I thought it would run on power as well like a mobile phone but, it does not.It is a waste of money.
