Hard for me to know if it really kills germs and bacteria. What I can say it was the best price compared to others. Size and installation same as original bulb.

Try another brand, 6 bulbs attempted to find 2 working 72 hours so far.
Two burned out immediately, two more burned out after just overnight placement, 2 have lasted 72 hours thus far. Not easy to replace because they are mounted in the AC return just under air handler coils. Previous 2 sets of Phillips bulbs never burned out, I replaced due to hours in use and suggested UV generation life span. Installed with gloves, experienced UV light user. A pharmcist who designed and had built to specs UV cabinets to sterilize our care provider masks for multiple hospitals in our system when COVID hit and masks became unavailable for a while. Quality matters and people's time is important. They did provide replacements.

high quality, excellent fit, this is the one to buy i am completely satisfied with the light, exceeded my expectations :-)

Not impressed.
I put these in my HVAC unit to replace my blown out bulb. They only get a slight violet glow around the heater filaments - they don't light-off like the originals and produce a large amount of light. They didn't last long, either..

Lasted 5k hours
This lasted about 6 months constantly on. The 36w bulb usually lasts a year or so constantly on or about 10K hours as advertised. Maybe I got a lemon this time? Price has gone up two dollars so going to shop around.
