Q: Can you use regular matte modge podge instead of the photo medium?

I would use the photo medium for transfers. The regular matte modge podge will work but you will not be happy with the results. The transfer seems to have the extra bite that holds the ink better. I use the regular for top coats or if you just want to glue the picture down and then seal it. If you want to transfer go with the photo medium!

The photo transfer medium does not require a sealer.

This product is very thick. It is water based so you could use a very small amount of water too thin.

Q: I want to print a photo onto a tea towel. Will I get the best results with a laser printer? Will the photo last through the wash?

the photo will last through washing or at least mine has. As for the laster printer I have never done it so I don't know.
