It's very good at what it does.
This is my second Foreman grill (my old one died after a long life of hard service), and this one's just as good.Grill arrived in its original (and very sturdy) box. Requires precisely zero assembly - it's all one big piece, you just slide the grease catcher into the bottom and you're ready to cook. There are no buttons or dials to worry about...you plug it in, and when the light turns green (which takes maybe five minutes, probably less), it's ready to grill. While that admittedly means that you don't have a lot of control over the cooking (since it only has two settings - 'off' and 'active'), chances are that you're not cooking some precisely-prepared gourmet meal on a Foreman grill. It cooks a lot faster than you might expect, which is a good thing as long as you understand that. The grill has a good amount of space, too...you could cook half a dozen burger patties at once, easy. I mainly use it for steaks, and I have no problems when I do. The very high cooking heat does tend to make cooking fish a little difficult, however...it's not impossible, and I'll admit that I'm not a terribly skilled cook, but most fish filets just seems a bit too 'delicate' to easily grill on this.Cleaning it is very easy, you just wait until it's cooled off and then wipe the grill plates with paper towels or a moist sponge. The grease catcher is listed as being dishwasher-friendly, and I'm sure it is, but I've never actually needed to try that - as long as you dump the grease out promptly, it can be cleaned within seconds by hand. The only thing that I'd warn people about is the non-stick coating on the grill plates. It's quite easy to damage, so never use metal utensils to turn/scoop food on it, or you'll probably scratch it. Plastic spatulas do just fine. All in all, it's a great grill for someone with limited cooking ability who just wants to cook up some steak or porkchops or whatnot. No complaints.

Fantastic machine
I love this machine, it works great, and I love the size. Only one draw back is cleaning it, you have to do it while warm, the grime is hard to get off otherwise.

Lean gains - perfect for bodybuilders! Insane value
I use this as a complete indoor bbq replacement. It’s phenomenal. Cooking surface is massive - I can get 8 large pieces of chicken on simultaneously, and have them fully cooked in about 12 minutes with rotation. I work out every day and make every effort to eat in a lean and well rounded manner. This grill is simply ideal.Note that the grill does not have variable heat settings (as stated in other reviews.) It’s “on” or “unplugged.” On means full heat. I am not sure why this is a problem in that if you are watching your food, as you surely should be, and making sure to rotate, quite frankly it’s a non issue.Cleaning is very straight forward. I recommend waiting until the grill cools a bit and using plenty of cold water. Never ever use utensils that scratch the surface.Honestly, for the amount of chicken/beef I purchase/consume relative to the price of this grill.... simply a no brainer. I made my money on it after two weeks, and with the ability to use year round, this is a smart investment.Body builders - if you are hesitating, don’t. Get it. Your lean gains will thank you.

This grill is huge! Grills evenly.
I recently purchased another brand name (HB) tabletop grill and after 3 uses, I was dissatisfied and back to the store it went. I have always had good luck w/GF's, but wanted to 'venture' to another brand solely based on reviews.Pros:Huge, huge, huge, huge. I have cooked 8 hamburgers on this with room to spare (probably can fit more but I make large 'burgs), have fit 4-1.5lb. boneless ribeyes, and 7 kabobs. The grill heats up within 5 minutes and you're ready to go. Grates cook all food evenly, although try and place all food towards middle, not the edges, tends to have less heat, but if 1 person wants a rare burg or steak and another wants med.-rare, just place the rare meat towards the edge and grill all at the same time. I have found grilling that way makes everyone happy. Steaks were ready (med.-rare) in 7 minutes. Clean up was much easier than other grill. Had no trouble using the wet paper towel cleanup. Other grills with a wide rear opening will drip grease onto countertop making a mess. GF is super easy to clean. GF has vastly improved the hinges. I purchased a hinged GF 5 years ago and hated it. Food tended to slide down from the top. The hinges seem to be fastened tighter and food does not slide.Cons: Sure the grates are not removable for easy cleaning, but after reading reviews for removable grates, I found many wrote the grill does not heat up as fast, cooks as fast and evenly, and takes longer. Compared to evenly grilled food, I'll take the cleanup. Do not use the manual's grilling chart unless you want food well-done.Bottom line: The price cannot be beat for the size, previous GF's have lasted me many years with no problems. This GF can grill for 5-7 people easily depending on size of meat/veggies, it looks heavy but isn't, stores easily, and the hinges are much improved.
