Yes, you will want to coat the pan with a non-stick spray like “Pam.”

Q: How long do the flames last and keep the food warm?

fuel gel varies by company who makes it. Also the amount in the size of the product. More ounces, it lasts longer. I recommend Sterno, as in the past it has been the best for me. the Sterno with screw top wick lasts 6 hours but has a even flame. This fuel is capable of producing 890 BTU's per hour to allow for approximately 6 hours of burn time.
