Don't waste your money
I watched quite a few Youtube videos on this machine before I purchased it, and decided to purchase it despite all of the negitive reviews. Well that was a mistake. I followed all of the instructions yet it did not work on my MacBook Pro. The software didn't even look like the software in the videos I watched. So then I tried the app. There weren't any english instructions for the app, and I couldn't get it to connect.

Precision, Style, and Simplicity
I had another laser engraver which was very difficult to learn to use. The software was complicated and clunky and took me almost three months (off and on) to get consistently successful cuts.NOT SO with the Wainlux K6 machine! Looking at this with the eye of a newcomer, it is significantly easier and a newbie should be up and running sophisticated designs in a couple of days. The learning curve is shallow and short, so just be patient and you will be well rewarded.PROs: Easy to learn to use, Precise and very pleasing high definition cuts. Professional quality results Priced well within most budgets. Wide choice of included images to make learning enjoyable. Image selection from external sources is unlimited. Import any image you like. The included fan is a blessing for keeping the smoke away and the image easy to see. The size of this unit allows for easy storage when not in use.CONS: The manual is well done but difficult to read because of the size of the text. It's tiny, but a magnifying glass can solve that. After a couple of days you won't need it anyway. The overall size of the cut is limited to approx. 3” x 3”. I find this size is large enough for 95% of the projects I want to engrave. The other 5% of my work is larger artwork that most people will never do.

Fun engraving system found $
The media could not be loaded. Updated** needed update the mb to get all function to work.I found their product through kickstart program, wanted to order one back then but the program ending.. so far everything seem nice only bad side I can’t seem to get the thing connected to WiFi so can’t used phone app..We are constantly finding new projects for it all the time. It gets an A for value. I'd give it an A for simplicity once set up. It could use a larger work space. And a few more features. It must be your best choice if you need a laser

Great laser but not so good software
Laser was difficult to connect to Mac. Lots of time installing drivers, using terminal on Mac, and turning machines on and off to get it to work. But alas, finally things are rolling and love the quality of the laser. Really, the price and performance of the etching makes its worth my buy. But if your not fairly savvy with computers and software, this machine may not be for you.

Laser quot working the second time I tried to use it.
I purchased this item in July of 2021 first time we used it , it worked fine. Tried to use it again last night for the second time since the machine was purchased and laser would not work . We could hear the machine running but the laser itself would not turn on contacted Amazon customer support and they would not help me because the return window had already closed and referred me to the manufacturer and they didn't have the decency to even contact me back. I've been buying things off of Amazon for a while now and have never written a review on anything let alone a bad review. So I will definitely not buy anything else made by this company period. I must say I am extremely disappointed in Amazon customer service and the manufacturer of this product because I was not even trying to get a refund just trying to to get this machine fixed so we could use it and neither Amazon nor the manufacturer even attempted to get this problem resolved. Now we are stuck with a a $200 paperweight.

Really fun and works well!!!
The media could not be loaded. This thing is really fun!!! We pushed the button on top and it printed the basketball(???) series, I think as a detail and alignment test. Then we printed the tiny letters on one of the sample cards. I’m a food blogger and BBQ lover, so I put it a pic of my smoked brisket next and printed it on test cork. Awesome! It’s a really neat toy, and I’ll post more pics as I gain experience with this thing. I’m tattooing a cutting board next. Totally recommend!Editing to add:On day two, I tried to engrave on wood. Nothing was showing up. When I printed on paper, 10% depth worked. I adjusted it to 30% for wood and that worked!I wanted to print on a wooden spoon handle. I did a test run on paper, then slid my spoon handle in and nothing. You have to adjust the laser focus any time you change the distance between the engraving head and what you’re engraving. The height of that spoon mattered. I turned the laser head til I had the smallest dot possible, and it engraved perfectly!Next up was working on my alignment. Cropping your images to just what you want to engrave really helps with positioning. The bmp button isn’t really talked about in the directions, but it’s an important one. If you hit the bmp button after you get your project set up, it converts to bitmap using your dimensions. That makes a huge difference in the preview positioning. You can see how much better my alignment is on the cutting board than the spoon. The bmp button cleaned it up!

Terrible Software
This is by far the worst instructions for trying to set this machine up on your computer. It just doesn't work. I'm very disappointed. Part of me says to keep trying and the other says to send it back for a refund.
