Resizing is confusing, but otherwise fabulous! PERFECT fit with Command Strips, btw!!
This curtain rod comes in three parts: two outer tubes with the end knobs on them and one inner tube to accommodate the extension capabilities. I put it together and was so irate because the smallest size wasn't even close to 72" (more like 90"). I ended up taking a hacksaw to both outer tubes to custom size it down to 82". It was only after installation that I realized the inner tube had threads inside one end to accept one of the end knobs! So, it's important to note that the smaller lengths described in the product outline do not use both outer tubes...or it could be super sturdy like mine, now, if you have a hacksaw and custom chop it down. ;)I'm in a rental unit and chose this rod because it's slimmer than most. I wanted one that might fit in some Command hooks instead of drilling holes in the wall. It's a perfect fit! I used the Large Traditional Hooks in nickel finish (hold 5lbs each) and put 3 up for this rod. The rod is light aluminum tubing and I have no concerns that this will be too much weight to bear with the lightweight curtain. So pleased!! Just remember the rod sits closer to the wall with these hooks so curtains that have those big, round rings at the top might not slide or hang nicely.

BUDGET price and quality - brackets are the weak point
I bought two of these. On one set one of the brackets bent during install so that the rod was lower than it should be. I could bend it back to 90° but now the metal is a bit fatigued. The curtains I put on are not very heavy. They should ship it with stronger brackets. BUT, the price is great, so if you are extra careful during install and when hanging the curtains you should be okay like I was on the second window. If you are in Canada (this is Amazon.ca after all) I would suggest using Robertson (square head) screws because Philips ("star") screws tend to strip out too easily because they use fairly soft metal for the screws, I almost completely stripped one screw too. Advice - find wood to screw into instead of just using the plastic drywall anchors.

Sizing is NOT accurate
I bought 2 of these curtain rods, one for the living room and one for the patio doors. We put up the living room set first (we needed 121") and it went up easily and looks great. We then went to put up the curtains in the kitchen, which needed 84" and the rod was too long. The two pieces (without using the extension rod at all) measures approx. 100", far more than the 72" that it says. We had already hung up the brackets so I bought a basic hacksaw and cut off 16" to make it fit. The metal was sturdy and did not bend, so I was able to reattach the plastic guide at the end and it works well, but be aware that the minimum length is NOT 72".

That’s one long rod (that’s what she said)
Installed in 15 min, for the price it feels sturdy defiantly long enough, looks sharp, and came with everything you need (except curtains). You can’t beat the price for a rod this long but took a little longer than I hoped to get in

Works well, passable quality
Needed to divide a room which was 128" across. This was the cheapest and nicest looking rod.Rod works well for what it is. Very easy to install and does reach across the whole room. I hung very light (maybe 2lbs) sheer curtains and they don't affect the bars sturdiness. However, the bar does sag a bit from its own weight but nothing too extreme. As per the pictures I have attached, the rod seems to be missing one of the translucent caps that help the sections fit together snugly. As such, it sags slightly. To correct this, I shimmied some pieces of thin metal in between the connections in order to provide support and fill the gaps which were causing the sag. Much better now.
