PrincetonSnap! 9650R-20 Snap Brush Taklon, Size 20, Gold

I use this for watercolor, and it has held up pretty well. The bristles are durable but soft and as long as you don’t leave it soaking for ages it will hold a nice clean point. Even with my abuse the bristles are tidy although bent at the tip. Holds a good amount of water/pigment, and can easily create very fine marks with the tip or large strokes with more pressure. I only wish that it had a different handle because as it stays wet and soaks up water the lacquer on the handle cracks and flakes off, but it’s mostly user error because I tend to leave my brushes in the water too long.

I am in love with these Snap! brushes from Princeton and have a few different sizes at this point. They truly do have a fantastic snap and spring to them and hold a wonderful amount of water and pigment. All of mine come down to a super fine point which allows for really fine, controlled lines as well as broader strokes with more pressure on the brush, then they snap right back to a sharp point when you reduce the pressure. I honestly don't think you can go wrong with these brushes at this price point. Thus far, mine have held up well to regular use. Also, no issues whatsoever with shedding.

This brush was worth the investment. The point on it stays sharps when you paint, unlike cheaper large brushes.It's terrific for wetting the paper and doing large washes as well as working with the point to create fine lines.I use this brush and a much smaller one for all my watercolor work, as they are all I need.Taklon is an artificial brush fiber that works better than natural hairs because it was designed for painting. All my brushes are Taklon now. I won't buy other fiber in a brush. None of them shed or stain like natural fiber does.

I’m not a paint brush expert but this is a great brush for one of my first choices. Covid happened I decided to start playing around with watercolors. I needed a versatile beginner brush and this worked for me. The price is reasonable and it’s holding it shape and bristles like a much more expensive brush.

Excellent brush! Holds a nice load of paint, is well made, the tip stays beautiful and sharp. I definitely want to get more brushes from this line.

A good brush REALLY DOES make a difference!!! Wow!!! It holds a lot of water and a lot of paint, use the tip for small details, use the side for huge washes, and it does have great snap and no hairs are coming out!! And this one is on the lower-end in price. I am very happy with it!!

This is a fantastic brush. You can make big beautiful flowers or shapes, or fill all lot of space quickly. It is my go-to for skies or water. It makes a reasonably fine line as well. I don't reach for it every time, but it does get a lot of use.
