This is exactly as described. able to hold at least two regular loafs of bread and maybe some extra. doesn't take up too much counter space and is sturdy.

great looking bread box-only thing I do not like is it is hard to keep it shut-the door keeps falling off-simple fix-I added a magnet to the door and to the top catch and voile! no problem!

I'm pretty happy with it. Seems solid, fits the space I had very well and the cutting board/knife were one of the main reasons I ordered this model. I accidentally ordered a similar model that has a drawer and tongs first, but returned it quickly. That model has a paper thin plastic window. This model has a much thicker plastic that looks nice and I won't worry about accidentally tearing. This model also has solid wood parts, including the back. The other, more expensive model had a cardboard backing. I would definitely recommend this model over the drawer/tong version.Immediately upon opening the package, there was a faint smell of wood glue (which dissipated quickly). I like the smell, but let the pieces air out for 24 hours before assembling so as not to impart to any breads anyway!My only complaint is that the pre-drilled holes in the top piece weren't very centered. 3 of them split during assembly, even though I was very careful. They split on the outside of the bread box so I expect it won't impact functionality, and you wouldn't notice unless you looked for it. Still annoying though, and the reason for dropping 1 star. Knew it was going to happen just based on the loud cracking sounds, but had to seat all the screws so didn't have much choice.

it offends me to buy something, brand new, and then have to fix it straight out of the box before I can use it.the first one came, but the back panel was broken. it was very easy to return, and a new one arrived 2 days after the first one.but the door on the new one wont stay closed. the magnet that holds it....doesnt. I ordered magnetic tape, hoping it will fix it...we'll see.the knife is crap. doesnt cut bread....it tares it. and when it gets through the bread, it rips the cutting board (which also is pretty flimsy) to shreds.in general, the breadbox is pretty flimsy.

This was a surprise. It is very well built. Every time I lower the door to reach in I notice how it fits perfectly to keep things inside fresh, but the door opens as smoothly as if it were loose instead of snug. I needed a box with a window so my mother with mild dementia would remember where the English muffins are for her breakfast. I didn't expect that it would be very attractive, very well designed and built, and look more expensive than it was. It looks terrific on the kitchen counter!

Opened the box, pull the instructions and the hardware, immediately, i notice that there aren’t enough pieces. The parts included says 12 screws, I had 10 and one wasn’t even the same size as the rest; 2 support sticks, theres something in the bag that looks like support sticks but there are four of them and they don’t look like the picture; 4 metal rods, those might have been the metal rods but again don't look like the picture. I was very excited for this, it has good reviews and looks very nice, this is underwhelming.

I bought this breadbox for my mother's birthday gift. It was very nice once it was assembled. It took me a little while to sort out the parts. Once I did, it went together easily. Only problem I had was when I ran my fingers along the edge if one side, I picked up a splinter. Bamboo is sharp! But it's a nice box. The knife and cutting board are handy and conveniently placed. Super cute bread box and the shelf is movable. It might be difficult to assemble if you've never put anything together before.
