Q: Will the wash shammy also work to dry after I have cleaned?

Yes absolutely. Both synthetic chamois cloths will dry but our wash version has ridges designed to more effectively remove dirt while our dry towel is flat and is designed to optimize for drying. Either way though, they both provide incredible absorption amounts. Thanks so much for your interest in Better Boat cloths.

Q: Is the package leak proof ?

No, the plastic tube is not sealed by any means. The cap fits securely, but definitely breathes. I would think if this were a sealed tube, it would mildew and become much less desirable to use.
