Good at first but wont last -after 8 month of light use it is in the trash. Within a few months the seat looked like it had mildew on it but it turned out it was just the clear coating rubbing off. We also notice discolorations appearing that looked like chips in the wood - we though it was strange because we were pretty gentle with it and never dropped anything on it. (see pic). Last night the hinge actually broke right off while closing (see pic) - We were surprised how well the "slow close" mechanism still worked after 8months but I guess the super heavy weight of the wood finally took it's toll on the hinge - overall very comfortable HEAVY seat but probably the worst slow close seat we have ever owned. We're going back to a normal plastic one - the last plastic one lasted us for years and only the slow close mechanism eventually broke but the seat was still in one piece.

We were super excited when we got it in January and it worked to an extent. We ran into issues with the joint not working and then now it’s busted. With minimal use and normal closing and opening. Between that and the marks it leaves off ANYTHING touching it is just annoying.Honestly between that and I cannot contact support because you need some member number means I will give this product a 1 star and don’t recommend. I can’t imagine if you had kids or something that used the toilet more.

First of all, I ordered this previously, and the box end was open, and the seat was skuffed like crazy, so I sent it back. Today I get this one, and the box is open AGAIN! At least this one wasn't skuffed, however, you will see below what happened. I don't know what's going on in shipping, but they need to be sealed with tape!They should let you know in the description that you need a 13mm wrench to put this thing on. I don't have any wrenches, so I ended up having to buy a set that cost $69.99 + tax and shipping - that is ridiculous - these things need to be seen before you buy it!

Despite the description for this product claiming that it "FITS ALL ROUND TOILETS: Including Kohler, American Standard, TOTO and many more", it doesn't fit my American Standard toilet. Even with the "perfect fit" adjustment, I have the seat adjusted as far back (towards the tank) as it can go, and it's still a bit too far forward (I've noticed other reviewers having the same problem). To make matters worse, the installation hardware is one-time-use only, as it requires "breaking" off the top of the bolts during installation, so it's doubtful that I can return it. Buyer beware!

Update August 2022: The white finish is too easily damaged by normal toilet cleaning products. The undersides are now permanently stained from normal use and will not come clean (see video). One soft close hinge broke during lifting. Will now replace all three with plastic seats. A waste of time. Buying these was like flushing money down the toilet. Others must be writing their reviews before the problems appear.Original review:Two out of three of these arrived broken - in perfect packaging!One was in a box that was resealed with tape. That seat was very obviously smashed elsewhere, returned by someone, repackaged and shipped to me as if new. The other seat was defective in a perfectly new box, so that must be a manufacturing defect overlooked by quality control, as the missing essential part is not in the sealed box.
