Well constructed box with plenty of room for nesting. Not too big and I was able to attach to the outside of the cage using an existing opening by removing the sliding door. Took about 2 weeks for the group to get used to it and start going in. 1 pair is now building a nest and an egg has been laid. I will get a 2nd one if we have a successful hatch. Expanding the family as a spring project. Zebra Finches are cleaver and smart and a joy to watch.

I thought the box was going to be flimsy, but to my surprise it isn't. It's very sturdy and heavy wood. My parakeets are always in it. They only come out to eat and then they go right back in.

My naughty birds had fun with it. However, She had laid eggs in there but they neve hatched.Otherwise, it is ver sturdy, easy to clean and safe place for her.

The latch keeps the top closed. Birds will open a lid that is not latched down. This box has a metal ring around the opening that should keep the birds from chewing and enlarging the opening. However, I would like to see a box with tiny metal corners to prevent the birds from chewing the top's corners. Inside it's probably big enough for about three baby Parakeets and the two parents.

This nesting box is not big enough for the majority of the birds listed. I have parakeets, once the eggs are there, there is not a lot of room left for an adult parakeet to move around. Once the eggs hatch, the possibility of her having to lay on the babies to tend them is a probability. To think of Love Birds or bigger birds in this little more than 7” long nest, would be a stretch. I sent it back and got a 9” nesting box for comfort for all the birds and babies.

Now to describe it, I got it for 2 budgies I have- BUT I didnt think they would go in and start nibbling the wood away 😭 So I guess theyre happy tearing it apart- though the nest is still very much being held up by the screws (and the will of god lol).

My little parakeet loves her new nestbox. Took her a few days before she gave it a chance, but that's where she stays now unless it's time to eat. Highly recommend.

I had to reorder the XL size because my set of cockatiels wasn’t liking the smaller size and no laying eggs were not happening. With this XL size my cockatiels are laying eggs and I am very happy to say that we will be having new additional cockatiels to our family

I wish the wood wasn't so soft as my budgies are eating and working their way through it. Though I'm sure it will work well even though when it will be used by them. I have 2 budgies that like to chew through everything.

It was perfect for my baby budgie and the price is affordable.

Birds can easily chew the wood.
