After researching all the self-warming, cup, bag, and every high walled expensive bed on the market, i got this. I got the sleeping bag, med, for my dog cuz shes a burrower. The other size small is like the clamshell style in the pic. I got this for my cat. It turns out, my 18 lb, 14 month old intelligent puppy cant figure out how to get in the sleeping bag. Its long, with a narrower opening at the end. Even with treat and toy training, she ends up digging into it, flipping it around, and lying on top. (Its that silky soft faux fur). However - my ten year old kitty loves it. I balance it up straight as a cup so he can jump in during day, then at night, when hes in it, i turn it sideways so he can be warm inside the sleeping bag. The house is cold, and they both need the warmth. My most recent theory is that the dog got too hot in the bag. So, she loves the clamshell shape. Its the smallest size, and she just fits. she can even loll a bit. Shes a trauma pup so she may need to see out, and feel that she can make a quick getaway. I keep it on my bed or sofa during the day, so we can be side by side as i work. Then at night i move it to the divan on top of her martha stewart 24 x 24 dog bed at the foot of my bed with the clam propped open like the picture and a fluffy blanket draped over half the top. She feels safe and cozy, can maneuver into the right position (full body contact with the bed) and she can look out and watch me go to the loo in the middle of the night :). The beds are real inexpensive, and shes still a bit mouthy. The material seems like a plushie, and she wd chew the seams with her sharp little puppy teeth. So, i turned it inside out and that solves the problem! one bed had a tiny hole in the seam i just stitched up in a few min. She wd make it bigger too quickly! The bottom of both beds has a v slightly thicker round shape so you can tell which side to put down and which is the top to prop up. There are no wires in it, but it keeps its shape pretty well. But theres no support. My cat has a memory foam bed. I have completely draped it in an old lavender faux fur throw and place the bag cup shape on top during the day, then turn sideways for sleeping bag at night. He loves it, and sleeps on his two beds just outside my bedroom door all night. Both little boos are too rambunctious for bed sharing w my sleep issues. I am going to get two more, so they can both have one to be w me during the day, and then have their normal sleep situation at night. Moving the pet beds is a pain, and at this price point, i can get two bags for 15 each and two clamshells at about 23 each. I dont want to wash them. Other faux fur ive washed gets matted. The charcoal will hide stains, and i can spot clean, but honestly, both my little ones are really clean and tidy, so ill just replace each bed every couple years, maybe spot clean and quick fluff in the dryer monthly. Maybe you can wash it, i dont know. But this is so cozy, so warm, so inexpensive and so calming that i wouldnt let washability concern you. These are awesome beds, and all the good girls and good boys out there will love them. One caveat, if your dog or cat is confused by the concept of burrowing, or is v furry, give this a pass. They will love to sleep on top of it, but everyone deserves a good snuggle bed. There are other styles out there for them. Note: i sometimes put my puppy in the bag and we cuddle and commune for hours while reading or watching netflix. She loves to be held, kissed, ge t tummy rubs, and stroking this silky fabric, and her thru it, is very zen for me too :).

Loved it in every way except the sewing of it on the front. As you can see, not finished and stuffing showing. If this was not defective, I’d give it 5 stars.If I buy something new, I expect it finished. Disappointed.

The fabric is soft and my pup enjoys this sleeping bag. To be clear, this is not a fort or cave for pups. It’s really is a sleeping. The opening stays always down as show on the pic I posted. The Amazon pics are deceiving.

My tiny little dog basically loved this and took to it immediately. The quality is good and cuddly. My only criticism is that the size Small (which I ordered) is smaller than I would like. Our dog is only 5.5/6 lbs. and just under 12 inches long and the bed is workable but really too small. Bottom line, I should have ordered the larger size for my tiny dog.

I got this for my dog that has breathing problems, specifically enlarged lungs. The weather has been more cold lately and this bed is perfect for him. He is a 11 lb chihuahua. I’m able to easily pick him up in it as well like a pouch. The material is so soft, he either sleeps in it or on it since it’s so comfy. The only negative is I found a small tear and some of the inner stuffing was coming out. My dog does not chew on blankets, pillows, etc so I know this was from the seller but I don’t see any problem with it considering my dog doesn’t mess with the tear and just sleeps.
