This beard conditioner is fantastic. The aroma is pleasant for a beard conditioner and it leaves my beard very soft and noticeably more formable. I do have a couple of notes, though. First, someone else in the reviews said that they used it as a leave-in conditioner. It DOES NOT work as a leave-in conditioner for me; it leaves my beard clumpy and not soft. Second, it does have a very small scent but it’s a good scent- somewhere between saw dust and Calamine lotion- and it’s so faint. Lastly, the instructions on the bottle are very quick and plain, so I wanted to provide more in-depth usage instructions. I apply it to my beard with my beard dry. I comb it through my beard with my fingers. I leave it in my beard for a few minutes and then rinse it out in the sink. I comb my beard and then dry my beard with a towel and comb it again. Afterwards, it’s very soft and more easily formed.

This softener does seem to do the job pretty well...but subtly, I'd say. A bit of a thinner liquid than expected. It's not like a normal conditioner, really. Aside from the smell, I don't i.mediately notice that it's had an effect until my beard starts to dry and I notice that it is softer and less dried-out than usual.Now, as to the fragrance. It's strong. It's distinctly woods chips. For a while, you're going to smell like you've been rubbing your face on a fresh-cut pine board. Just sayin'. Hope your partner has a lumberjack fetish...

This stuff is awesome! The smell is very many, yet sexy.

My beard was dry, crunchy and course. Felt like if I squeezed it, it would crumble. Tried a bunch of stuff. This did the trick way passed my hopes. Instantly soft, supple and looking healthy. The scent is like a beautiful cedar fresh cut. Get it. You'll be stoked. So worth it.

I could scrub the barnacles off a ship with my beard and desperately needed a product like this. Beard oil alone just did not cut it.
