So much better than our old flashlight ...
Love this! So much better than our old flashlight. Lights up the whole back yard! Only 2 things I can find "wrong" (but not really WRONG, just something that maybe could be made better) is that after a few minutes the handle gets warm to the touch. And the wrist strap could be a bit larger. Other than that I really LOVE this and look forward to using it for many years to come.Just a quick note about Customer Service. We accidentally broke the wrist strap and were sent a replacement tailpiece free of charge which arrived quickly. Thank you!

Items arrived in great condition and were packaged very well in a nice case. Unfortunately the smaller of the two flashlights was non functional even though I fully charged the battery beforehand. The larger flashlight worked just fine but I didn't care for the beam as it had a very square shape to it when zoomed in as a spot light. I've packaged the lights back up and will be returning them.I was provided the flashlights at a discounted price in return for my honest review.

Good Value
I used to work graveyard shift security for a private company in a dangerous area and always had to provide my own light, so I definitely know my high-powered LED tactical lights. Let's break it these down:The Good:2 lights; a pocket light, and the Opti-Flood adjustable beam lightNice storage caseThey use the same batteries, making charging easyPocket light has good battery lifeNice appearanceFits in hand wellQuite brightAAA battery adapter! The zoom focusThe Bad:They use the same battery, so the Opti-Flood runs out relatively quick (I did not get an actual amount of time, just basing it on experience)No features (brightness, strobe, sos, etc)Charger seems to be very poor quality. It works just fine, but doubt it will for long. Flimsy and plug gets pretty warm when charging, but fortunately it does have a charging status indicator. The UGLY: Wow, though the pocket light is pretty standard, I am quite disappointed in the engineering/build quality and quality control of the "Tactical" Opti-Flood. All examples of poor quality can be seen in the pictures. The light housing is made of 4 separate pieces of metal, when anything 'Tactical' should be made of 2The lens is removable (never should be on tactical).Lens was chipped on the edge of the inside. It doesn't affect the light, just shows quality control's attention to detail.Lens had a minor scratch upon arrival. Again, doesn't affect the light, but it shouldn't show up new like that. There is very little weatherproofing. There are o-rings around the LED module housing, but nothing under the lens to prevent water from getting to the circuit board in the first place. O-ring at base where you insert battery. No o-ring at other end of battery compartment that opens. The LED and circuit board module can be removed. (SEE PICTURES)Not a big deal, but reduces durability when dropped, etc. Upon removing the module, I noticed that the copper retaining ring was not only loose and dented on one edge, but had left a copper sliver in my finger because of poor threading (if you look carefully in the picture, you might see where the sliver came from). I removed the ring to see what would have happened if it fell out during use, and behind a tiny clear plastic ring is the circuit board and led... fully exposed. That could have happened just from normal use.Another thing that bothers me is in the description regarding the brightness in lumens. They write, "Lots of manufacturers are happy to advertise ridiculously high lumen ratings. You're smarter than that and you deserve not to be lied to so let's just keep this simple...new Cree XM-L2 LED... 20% brighter than the XM-L1 bulb." First, all high quality lights have a measurement of their intensity/brightness. Yes, it is true that the method they use to measure the lumens can vary, but for any reputable brand, if you do your homework and read the fine print, it will tell you how far from the bulb the measurement was made, allowing you to compare multiple models and brands. Second, they let you know that companies lie to you, then proceed to tell you that it is 20% brighter than another bulb, but that tells you nothing. How are you supposed to gauge that with no point of reference. All that being said, for the current price of $35.99, they actually are a good value. You can't expect to get a great tactical light for that price. Getting 2 decent lights is pretty awesome though. The small light seems great, and the Opti-Flood is a good light to have at the house or on a gentle camp out. It works and it is bright, but I wouldn't rely on it in any situation requiring durability. I received this product at a discount in exchange for my honest and unbiased opinion.

Last man Flashlight
It's a birthday gift for my ex military husband and he loves it. We were a little concerned about the safety warnings on the lithium batteries though. He's going to have to remember to take them out after hunting and fishing trips. It doesn't say whether or not the 3AAA batteries could be used in the smaller flashlite. I would like to know the answer to that.As far as the flashlight itself is concerned, it certainly throws a beam out there. I was really surprised and how it can illuminated far off specific objects.

BUY THEM
It is everything it was advertised to be. So much powerful light from a relatively small flashlight is hard to visualize, until you charge one of the batteries and click it on!
