Okay item
This is a specialist hole punch for the MiracleBind Notebooks range, which are a fantastic innovation. This hole punch is a reasonable product, however I was not happy to line up paper by sight by looking at the marking (e.g. A4, A5). I don't understand why did they did not have a 'backstop' (to help line paper) or a metal paper guide as on office hole punches. I like my papers hole punched in exactly the same position. The other issue, is that the MiracleBind notebook comes with lined paper, although they say it is A4, but it is infact A4 plus 1cm to allow for the blue strip. If you use normal A4 paper, then it will be a bit smaller. I was thinking of getting a paper trimmer, to trim the Miraclebind paper to standard A4 size. I don't understand why they did not do this in the first place?Product Code: BA12.PArc (another product range)----Staples in the UK carry the Arc range. It is a similar contact to the MiracleBind, except they use discs. I do have a Arc hole punch, which for the same money, is far more superior in quality and far more heavy duty product. It is 'kinda' possible to use a Arc hole punch, however, the holes do not line up. When using A4 paper, it was off-set by 2cm.It may be possible to experiment (I just did not have the time). The holes made by the Arc and Miracle are very similar. However, the 'cuts' are a bit bigger on the Arc, to accommodate the 'discs'.The maximum punching capacity is 2 sheets - 75-90gsmIn the box they expliThe hole punch supports the following:A4AF11A6AF9A5AF6

Fortunately, this hole punch comes with an extra die ...
I use this to punch paper for my Filofax refillable notebook. It is similar to the Miraclebind books but has an extra hole that has to be punched. Fortunately, this hole punch comes with an extra die punch piece which you can fit into the hole punch. It was a bit tricky at first until I realised how to do it. Now it works perfectly and I don't mind not having the sliding paper guide that most hole punches come with. It is easy enough to line up the paper with the marks on the punch. The only downside for me is that you can only punch one or two pieces of paper in one go but again this isn't a massive problem and I can soon have a nice little pile of refills of various types of paper. I have printed off diary inserts from a Filofax refill web page I found through Google and also cut some paper in half to make shopping lists.Undoubtedly the Staples Arc system is a much better notebook but I don't like the bulky rings involved. My Filofax (and the Miraclebind books) notebook is much slimmer and neater.

Very useful, but lower than expected quality - worth it until a new/improved one comes to market
The punch system came as scheduled, which was one day after ordering it. The packaging seemed to protect the product from any damage during shipping. The outside box had some wear but no issues with the product when opened. The product comes with two little black stoppers to protect it during shipping. It may confuse some people as it stops you from using the punch. They are easy to remove once you realize they are there.Likes:- It a very useful product as it greatly expands the use of miraclebind notebooks (also it is the only one available for its function)- It seems sturdy, although I have yet to use it more then a couple times- Some previous posts have said it is hard to punch, but I found it not requiring much force as long as you stick to the two page limit- The holes are stronger then I expected when punching your own papers. I was worried that the paper I was using would be too think and so the paper would pop out a lot (especially since the paper the notebooks come with is reinforced at the binding site). But this does not appear to be an issue (yet at least)- It is a sleek design that makes it look like any other hole punch- Decent price - a few changes would make the price more fitting, but not overpriced considering other similar products on the marketDislikes:- There is no page stopper that adjusts to the size of paper you want like on regular hole punches. There are guides painted on which are a good alternative; however, see next comment- The guides on the Miracle bind are a bit off of what the store-bought paper has. This makes the papers not line up properly (see pictures), which for my is kind of a big deal because I like my notebook to be ‘perfect.’ You can adjust the lines to make it line up better, but a consumer should not have to make this adjustment. This is really disappointing, especially because Blueline has a good reputation for quality products. Not sure what happened with the design team on this one.- The two page punch limit Could be time consuming if you wanted to punch many pages at onceOverall:- Worth buying, but only because it is the only one on the market.- A little bit disappointing considering Blueline is has a reputation of high quality products. The design team for the Miracle Bind should be called in for a meeting.

After a single day of use...the bottom plastic base that holds the paper cuttings is cracked.I would get it exchanged but I'm kind of apprehensive of the process to do all that.Still cuts. But do not attempt to cut more than 2 pages. 3 pages and the cutter can not get a sharp enough cut to punch the hole completely off. Any snag and it is a pain to remove the paper from the machine. But the 2-page limit was fully in the description. So that's not a fault.Just the plastic breaking in a single day. I should note that one of the tight punches I mentioned in my previous post snags as well. I always have to wait for it to disengage.
