I am blown away by these sockets. There seems to literally be to tons of these available on Amazon and eBay even though they have been out of production since the 1980's.The good news is they are great and made in the USA. The bad news is that even though Metrinch seems to still be around, they are either a different company all together, or abandoned this design and all of the stock and now make their tools in Taiwan. Although these tools are well made (same quality as a Chraftsman not as nice as a Snap-on or equivalent) and made in the USA buying them doesn't save any American manufacturing jobs.I really haven't used them much quite yet, but I am shocked how easily it is to place them on the nut. I was concerned that seeing as 6 points are standard and the other 6 are metric, it would be a little difficult to position the socket on the nut with the proper 6 points. That thankfully isn't the case at all. They are as simple to use as a regular socket.These had a lifetime warranty, but I'm not so sure that would apply any more. My guess is that unless you abuse these by using them on an impact or beating them with a hammer it shouldn't be a problem at all.As a side note, I own a complete set of the newer style Metrinch tools. They, as I mentioned are made in Taiwan. I got them for a super deal years ago. That's a good thing because the price they normally charge for them is completely rediculas. They are a completely different design than these but also work very well.My recommendation here is to snatch up a set of these while you still can. There are lots of these sets out there but the supply is not unlimited. For the money, with Craftsman no longer making their hand tools in the USA, there is no better way to get USA made sockets for a very good price. You'll have half as many sockets in your tool box to boot.

I did not, exactly, "need" these but they are awesome , made in the USA, and I show them to both my friends everytime they come over. They really are metric and standard in one - I am not sure why we do not see this more often and I am glad I bought these. I hope that when the aliens come they see me as some kind of god or wizzard. They seem strong and I am trying to use them on everything I can - I'll come back if they fail and update but I doubt it.

I'm impressed with the quality and how well these sockets work. These Eliminate the need for two complete sets of sockets, saving space in the tool box and providing the convenience of always having the correct socket regardless of being imperial or metric.

I really like these socket sets. Best of both worlds!
