The pet hate was silly, by calling it a gate you would think it would open aswell as the TINY hole in the bottom but it doesn't. My Yorkshire terriers couldn't even fit through the door on the bottom. The gate was pretty useless as one it was on you couldn't get in and out of that room unless you took it off which makes no sense at all

Very misleading product name. I unfortunately missed the fact that this is a straight up barrier with no actual gate for a person to walk through :( Unless you want to completely section off a room of your house, you're better off with a model that actually HAS a gate. Product does seem sturdy enough, but definitely not a good choice for a high-traffic area (especially not if you have short legs like I have!)

Tengo una como ésta desde hace casi ocho años, me la trajo un amigo de EEUU cuando Amazon todavía no mandaba a México. La amo, ha durado y durado, una de las gomitas se desprendió pero no creo que haya problema en adaptarle otra con un poco de ingenio, lo que sí es que yo ya sólo la uso sobrepuesta, no la ajusto, así que no me afecta lo de la goma. Ahora adquirí otra y funciona a la perfección, la compré porque una de mis perras y yo pasamos algunos periodos en casa de mis papás y ellos tienen un perro, en realidad se llevan bien pero prefiero mantenerlos separados cuando no hay nadie en casa, así que ella se queda en mi recámara sin sufrir calor (sería un ambiente muy caluroso si cerrara la puerta). Los hoyitos sirven para abrirla o cerrarla dependiendo del espacio donde quieras colocarla y tiene una especie de tornillo de plástico que termina de ajustar la reja al marco de donde la coloques. La puerta de gatos no la he utilizado nunca, no sé qué tal funcione y si les guste salir o entrar por ahí... ninguno de mis perros la ha saltado jamás, me parece que es lo suficientemente alta, tengo una bóxer, una dálmata y un dachshund (bueno, él ni queriendo, jajaja). Es una excelente opción si quieres una barrera movible, es decir, si la necesitas para distintos espacios en diferentes momentos.

Keep in mind this gate is NOT a walk through gate. You have to put it up every time you need to access that door frame. We have it on top of the stairs doing to our basement and it’s just annoying to have to remove and then put it back on again. I should have payed more attention when I bought it but oh well. You have to really tighten the nob so it’s study or else an older baby’s weight could push it forward or pull it down, if it’s at the bottom or top or stairs. It’s perfect though for our cats to walk in and out. Also to lock them downstairs when they meow for food before it’s supper time lol

Bought three gates from this brand based on the size of my hall. This is my least favorite by far and not returning it due to shipping/duties cost. The size range is not as adjustable as other gates as it set is block sizes (inches). There are no tools to secure it to the wall. Also note there is no walk through options for people. Get one of their other pet door gates. Fyi my 20lb puppy can fit through this brand's cat doors so we added a few zip ties to shrink the hole.
