Nice job DC
Nice job DC. Paper back version. Good use of page budget. Layout and type face make this book a comfortable read. Nicely structured – read it straight through or just dip into a subject. Well balanced range of topics. Authors ‘no wasted words’ writing style, enthusiasm and practical experience make this a compelling book that ranks high in this crowded segment of the market.I read it alongside my tablet so that I could refer to the Internet for some areas where I personally needed a bit of extra background. YouTube videos provided some visuals. Other searches gave me a quick look-up on topics I was unsure about. The Introduction links Bushcraft 101 to this Advanced volume. It sets the scene for follow-on chapters that will appeal to a wide range of bushcrafters. A Series is mentioned - another volume next summer? Could be a busy winter for DC.

From a newbie to bushcraft.
I first discovered Dave through his TikTok account were he posts short videos explaining various techniques and tips. He does it so well and sparked my interest that I decided I wanted to know more than a 60 second video could tell me. I got two book, the basic and the advanced Bushcraft series. They are packed with easy to follow details and illustrations on so many aspects of bushcraft. I have no experience of living or surviving in the bush and the nearest thing I’ve ever done to roughing it in the wild was a school camping weekend back in the mid 1970s. I’m not planning on selling up and moving out into the bush, I just have a greater appreciation of the level of knowledge needed to do something like that. But who knows, I might decide to give a weekend camping experience a go and see if what I am learning from these books can make the experience all the better. So, if like me you even have a passing interest in the subject, these books are worth a read. At the very least I know know how to tie more knots than I even knew existed prior to getting these books. I think I’ll even return for more of the series.

I must say this is an excellent book on bushcraft
I must say this is an excellent book on bushcraft. I have the Ray Mears and Bear Grylls stuff but this is straight to the point and easy to read. Dave Canterbury who teaches training courses uses the "10 C's of survival" which is also covered in this book. If you are doing one of his training courses this is a good book to read before and to have as a reference after. Recommened for the Outdoors, Survival and Prepper people.

Wow
I read the title and thought there must be some top information contained inside. Unfortunately a bit like his cv it is over hyped, there are a lot of snake oils salesmen in survival and being advanced in one area geographically does not translate internationally.Interesting read but lacking something.

Waste of money?
I always give credit where it is due,but I was very disappointed with this book. Canterbury appears to have copied most of its content from other publications, particularly the SAS handbook?Don't waste your money?
