I had a grill pan with handle made by the same company that weighed 3x this professional pan.I love that it too came pre-seasoned but it is so heavy that it discouraged me from using it regularly.I picked this up based on an americas test kitchen recommendation and I am so happy that I did! I make burgers and veggies on this regularly and it is really easy to clean and handle!

Oh How I Love This Pan Let Me Count The Ways!
This pan is cast iron so it obviously takes special treatment but thus is the best grill pan ever. First thus pan is actually much lighter than the lodge round grill pan. It’s actually pretty easy to clean because the grill lines have a wide enough spacing between them. Even heat distribution and cooks everything nice and even. Because it’s cast iron it can go in the oven. I coated it with some grape seed oil before the first use and popped it. In the oven on 350 for 30 minutes and it was all Good and it’s now nonstick. Have cooked everything from veggie burgers, turkey burgers to eggplant and peppers in this pan. Get this pan you will love
