Very Nice Addition.
Received this knife yesterday. It's the new American made 1095 Chromium Vanadium steel version, so I'm sure the blade durability will be significantly improved over the older 440A stainless steel version. Razor sharp, I was actually able to trim stubble with it, but because it's so tiny, it's not really the comfortable tool to handle. Nature of its design and that's completely understandable. It went into the sheath beside my BK9 and will compliment it perfectly when intricate work is required in place of full on demolition. Four stars because the price is on the high side for such a small, yet obviously high quality blade.Update: I've been using the knife for a year now and absolutely love it. Wear it around my neck with a length of paracord tied with a "break away" knot. I've used it for anything from opening boxes to carving to stripping electrical wire to using the spine as a makeshift screwdriver. It's taken a beating, but a quick touch up with the sharpening stones gets it back to a razors edge (1095 CroVan is very easy to sharpen). The small knife and tiny sheath make it completely unobtrusive, safe and comfortable to wear. Ordered a second one as a gift.

Near Perfect Keychain Knife for Knife Newbies
This knife was my first small fixed blade knife, and as such, my first EDC. I never liked to carry folders, as they had a tendency to slip from my pocket. The folders with a pocket clip were better, but seemed unnecessarily large and bulky. This, when attached to a keychain, was always handy. I have since replaced it with an ESEE Izula (also a GREAT keychain knife). The Remora seems to get less respect than it deserves. For some reason people always compare it to the Becker Necker or the Izula or XYZ neck knife. Compared to these, the Remora seems a bit smallish. I argue that its diminutive size is its best trait. Give a non-knife person a Becker Necker, and watch as the Becker Necker collects lint in the back of a sock drawer. Give the same person a Remora, along with the keychain recommendation, and watch as the non-knife person discovers the utility of having a knife available at all times. Besides, compared with a Victorinox Recruit, for example, the blade is pretty burly. Compared with the best selling knife of all time, the Victorinox Classic, the Remora starts to resemble a crowbar. There are faults, however. The sheath is much maligned. It does look and feel a bit cheap (though it is extremely low profile, unlike the ESEE Izula, and especially unlike the Becker Necker and the BRKT Bravo Necker). The steel is 440A, which usually means relatively poor edge-holding abilities, though I have not noticed any difference in this regard between the Remora and my 1095 Izula. My biggest complaint is the design oh the handle. . . it's fine for occasional use, but not very comfortable beyond that.Summary: This knife is best compared with folding pocket knives rather than with larger fixed blades, and it works extremely well when attached to a keychain and used within reason.
