Great, small, portable drive
First thing you'll notice when you open the packaging is that the drive is tiny, and it weighs almost nothing. I've taken a photo of it next to my old 2.5inch external HDD, and it's far smaller and thinner. It weighs almost nothing because, if you open it up, there's only some tape, a short usb A cord and a SATA m.2 drive there.Best reason to buy an external SSD instead of HDD is there's no moving parts, I could throw this drive on the ground and my data would be perfectly safe. If you look at an external HDD wrong, it stops working.Coming from an external HDD, the speed is fantastic, it's ovbiously not as fast as my NVME drive, but so much faster than my old external drive. Writing large files, you're looking at about 335MB/s, lots of smaller files about 90MB/s.At the current price of over £300, I'd say this was quite poor value, but if you find one on amazon warehouse you can get it for about 150 which makes this great value. But if there's nothing available on amazon warehouse, then you're probably better off buying an external nvme m.2 enclosure and buying a 2tb m.2 nvme drive seperately, you'd end up with a faster drive for less money
