Way past my expectation

Bought these for my 1981 Chevy k10 suburban. They appear to be glass housing not plastic like I expected. Wiring is the only issue I have with them as they are not true plug and play and I still need to figure out how to wire the bottom lights to work with high beams in unison right now high beams are on all the time on the top but when I turn on high beams bottom works on high beams and top switches to low beam

Gave them a 4. Had to make some modification to the back side of the housing and to the bucket to secure them properly. Also had to install 4 pin relays as indicated in the instructions.

Extremely bright. Definitely not DOT approved.

Qty of 1 is a set for both headlights. Accidentally order 4! Super bright. Does the trick. Has DOT stamped on the lens so it s obvious they are legal.

These LED headlights are a great upgrade over my 95 S10's old faded halogens. The S10 doesn't use an H4 harness, so I had to use an adapter harness to connect them, but I expected that. These lights are very bright and cast a nice white light. I was pleasantly surprised to see a pretty crisp cutoff line, so oncoming traffic shouldn't be blinded. I haven't run the wires for the turn signals or daytime running lights yet, but the fog lights work, so at least I know those LEDs function.I did have some fitment issue because the LEDs headlight lenses are slightly smaller in the corners and are more curved than a halogen H4656. You can see in my 2nd and 3rd pic that there's a gap in the corner between the OE trim ring (that holds the light in place) and the lens. In my 4th pic you can see the lens is more curved also. To get the light securely in place I had to hold the headlight centered in the trim while carefully tightening the screws that hold it in place. This was awkward and took a couple tries, but eventually worked and the light is secure.I removed one star for the fitment issues. Even though these lights don't specifically say they fit an S10, they do say they're a replacement for the H4656 halogen headlights that the S10 uses. Overall though, I'm happy with the headlights and I'm enjoying being able to see well at night now.

Needed for a project so I didn’t need to hook up. I assumed the dimensions would be the exact same to transfer my existing glass lens onto this body, by this one is shaped differently. Not a big deal in my case

I have purchased these at the time of year when we experience the least amount of darkness, so I have not yet driven in the dark of night with them. However, they do seem to be quite bright. On my 1987 G van, they fit into the housing, but the trim rings which hold them in do not sit flush to the mount. Tightening a little at a time keeps things square and properly seated. That however, was not the biggest problem. The lights did not work properly until I reconfigured the vehicle wiring. In the low beam lights, I had to switch the ground and power, and for the highbeams, I had to reposition all three wires. My experience as a mechanic (earlier in my life) was certainly an asset into getting these functioning properly - the instruction sheet provided gave much needed information that made the wiring reconfiguration easier.

I obtained these to replace the sealed beam lights in a 1980s Ford RV. They went right in with zero issues, installed just like the originals.The low beam activate about 1/2 the lights and the brightness is shockingly decent. I've had other LED headlights and one major issue is the falloff, where the lights are bright but the distance is almost nothing. These lights hold up very well on low beam.High beams are crazy bright, you'll run people off the road if you forget they are on. The do really well at side to side also, as I only have headlights and no fog lights, these things do the job 100% without needing any other lights in the front. Installed in about 20 minutes, including cleaning up some wiring while I was in there.Solid purchase here
