This is a wonderful bird puzzle! Beautiful, charming, educational and delightful to work on and see each bird's expression emerge.It is challenging in that there are a LOT of background pieces with no color clues or indication of which bird they are near. I'd suggest putting together the edges and then all the birds first, and only then taking on the large number of plain pieces.Fortunately, there are two factors that make doing the background quite enjoyable: First, there is great variety in the shapes and no two will get close to fitting together unless they belong together; second, there are subtle but quite visible perpendicular lines throughout the puzzle so that each piece has only two possible directions (up or down!) rather than four. It was time-consuming but fun to divide the very many background pieces into categories according to shape before filling in all the background.Thoroughly recommend this puzzle for interest, quality, learning and enjoyment!

I got this for my bird obsessed husband and we spent almost three weeks chipping away at it. Lots of entertainment time for the price

I understand the other reviews for this puzzle. it's really fun but once you get all the birds done it gets complex.luckily the negative space has some lines and not just plain white.I personally loved the challenge. I do puzzles very often and I don't shy away from this one. I love birds as well so it was a match made in hobby-heaven.if you do puzzles often and aren't afraid of a little challenge GET IT!

Puzzle was a good challenge, but not overly difficult. Construction and puzzle cuts were well defined and cut. Excellent choice for the bird watcher in your household

I wish it had been a 750 piece puzzle or at least included the names as in the same-sized poster of the puzzle. There are a lot of white pieces and I'm doing it alone this time. More tedious than I had imagined. Very interesting to see the birds up close and in comparative sizes. A challenging puzzle!

only wish they had given a listing of the birds in the picture and something about each one. But the time the puzzle is together, you know these birds well.

Puzzle is great quality, but it has a ton of just wood grain pieces. The border is all wood grain, making this an extremely hard puzzle to get started on.

It was given as a Christmas gift to Bird lovers . They haven't started it yet but seemed very happy with the Puzzle !

Je n'avais plus fait de puzzles depuis des années. J'étais un peu réticent à sauter le pas face à certains commentaires : le puzzle était "compliqué", voire "trop compliqué"... en fait, ce qui est compliqué c'est le fond et ses diverses nuances de gris, pour ce qui est des oiseaux eux-mêmes la difficulté à les compléter croît avec leur taille surtout pour ceux qui présentent un plumage uni, mais ce n'est absolument pas ni insurmontable, ni insupportable ! C'est un vrai plaisir et, en prenant mon temps pour trier les pièces du cadre et par couleur j'ai posé environ 1/5 des pièces en juste deux heures, tout en m'amusant à mémoriser les noms et les caractéristiques physiques des oiseaux. Brillant!
