Works as advertised
I bought the 6 rolls of as seen on TV silicone tape hoping it worked as advertised. I needed it for color coded wiring bundles on my 1929 street rod and guess what, it works as good as any electrical tape even better in fact because it stretches and seals moisture out.. I'm very happy with this purchase for the application I bought it for. I would recommed it if you have a specialty need as I do. Now on to water leaks etc. and see how it does there but I'm sure it will do as a temporary repair in that area.

I LOVE THIS STUFF!!
I LOVE THIS STUFF!! I wish I could give it 10 stars! Listen, for those who give this tape bad reviews because they think it doesn't work, then you're simple not using it correctly. I see one review here where the writer suggests buying scotch tape instead - if you're using this tape on a job where you could use scotch tape then you're not using it right. As for the one who said it didn't work on his hose, my guess is that he did not wrap it tight enough. I have used this tape in many situations including high pressure hose systems and it ALWAYS works. I have also purchased the F4 tape and it works the same. The difference is that you get almost six times the amount of product from this six pack. The F$ reads that it is 20 mil thick and the Fix-It does not say how thick it is. I think it is actually not as think as the F4 but I have not found any job where that mattered. The Fix -It take never breaks so I guess it doesn't need to be 20 mil think. Anyway, I am really excited to have found the 6 pack of fix it. I can do even more projects. I have indoor grow setups and this take work so much better than duct tape for vents. There is a lot of venting when you set up a grow tent. Vents to fans and lights and such. When I can, I use this tape instead of hose clamps and it works even better. Absolutely better than duct tape if there is any heat or moisture involved. The ducts tape (which I always used in the past) gets gooey and separates under consistent warm or moist/wet conditions. The Fix-It tape works perfectly. Also, I cannot see any situation where it could wear out.

Disappointed in this Slicone tape product
I used about 5 feet of tape in trying to stop the leaking of a garden hose coupling. The water finds its way out of the tape, no matter what I do. From this experience I have to give this tape a negative rating. If the manufacturer can suggest a way to wrap the tape differently from its enclosed instructions, I would be happy to try it. If the method worked, I would be happy to give the tape a more favorable review.

I'm Stuck on You (in my best Elvis voice)
I bought this tape due to having a leaky copper pipe that dripped water steadily into my dining room closet. I saw an ad on television for Mighty Fixit tape (being hawked loudly by the British guy); it's amazing abilities being lauded quite voraciously. As my first introduction for this product was an "As Seen on TV" commercial, I was skeptical about it's abilities to perform well.Color me surprised. This tape is absolutely wonderful. It only sticks to itself, and when it does, it is a solid bond. The tape is stretchy, too, so that you can securely wrap it around whichever surface you want. You may think that it only being able to stick to itself is counter-intuitive; this is definitely not the case. When stuck to itself, it is secure and water-tight, creating a seal that is better than nearly any standard tape on the market. Thus far we have used this tape to repair the leaky pipe (works like a charm!), wrapped it around an electrical cord that a certain kitten decided to gnaw upon, and also used it to create a rubbery grip on a crochet hook.Uses for this tape abound; use it to repair, create a comfort grip, even to render something waterproof. This stuff gives duct tape a run for it's money. Even after only a few uses today, this product has earned a coveted spot within my toolbox. I will definitely buy more when I run out. Every household should have a few rolls of this on-hand; be creative and I am sure that you will find just as many uses as I have, if not more!

This one may be better than the first try.
The first one I got and tried looked initially good and easy to use, however the next day I found that the tape unraveled itself not sure if this may have expired shelf life of what, I tried another piece this time I wrapped electrical tape over the thing and this time it worked ok.Not what I expected. :(

I love this stuff!
I use this to waterproof coax on radio installations. I have also used it to repair leaks under the hood and attach things where I do not want a sticky mess. It is heat resistant and water proof. It has its limitations, it does not stick to anything else. It must be clean and dry or it will not stick, dust and grease will not allow it to bond. It only sticks to itself and when it does it bonds into a solid mass that can not be separated. Repairing things like garden hoses does not seem to work as the tape will not stick to the hose and will allow water to leak past the tape and the hose. Hoses are better repaired by cutting and coupling anyway. It will not repair everything. If you have an application that can be repaired by wrapping the tape around it, this is for you. Otherwise some other kind of tape is what you are looking for. This seems to be the best buy at the moment.

Good But, not great
This tape is good but, not the miracle they say. Tried to fix a leaking garden hose and blew threw most of 1 roll. Had to keep wraping tighter & tighter & adding layers. Still was getting a little drip. Still happy to have it but, Its no poof magic fix like the claims.

Great for specific uses. Not a cure-all
This tape is quite simple amazing. It's excellent for wires, pipes, hoses, etc. Pretty much anything with a relatively rigid backing can use this tape.Pros:- STRONG! Works VERY well for the advertised uses.- Does not leave a residue when removed.- colors allow for color-coding items.Cons:- It really does need to stick to itself - so it's not good for applications that require a strip of tape.- Because it needs to stick to itself, it does not lend itself to small (as in tiny) projects. They can be done, however it is a challenge.Overall great for electrical work, plumbing, other uses where you can wrap it around.MAKE SURE YOU STRETCH IT before use - otherwise it won't stick properly.Hope that helps.
