Arrowhead Mills Gluten-free Organic Maple Buckwheat Flakes (283g)

First of all the box of cereal was extremely smashed when it arrived. And arrived after dark, around 8:00 or 8:30 pm!! I just happened to hear the truck leaving my driveway!The cereal inside the damaged box was fine, but it did NOT come close to the old “Buckwheats” cereal, which it was supposed to be comparable to!! I remember the “Buckwheats” cereal being a wheat flake with a hard maple flavored glaze over it. Stood up in milk. Didn’t get soggy. Tasted awesome. This cereal here definitely had rice in it! “Buckwheats” did not! I was disappointed.

Bought two boxes. Like other reviewers product arrived in plastic bag and both boxes were mangled; product is bland, almost stale tasting. Doesn’t come close to “Buckwheats” cereal sold by Kellogg. Second box was supposed to go to a friend to try, since she had never eaten Kellogg product, but embarrassed to give it to her.

The box was closed, but when I opened it, the plastic bag holding the cereal was partially open. I love the cereal, so I will order again. I was just disappointed that I had to throw it out.

I've been looking for something like Buckwheat from the 1970s. This was not it. Not enough maple flavor. But the flakes were nice and crisp. If organic buckwheat is what you are looking for, these may be exactly what you want.

I liked the taste but thought the flakes would be bigger. I only gave 3 stars because for some reason every day that I would have a bowl of this cereal within a couple hours my stomach would become bloated and achy. Now everyone is different so there could be an ingredient that just doesnt agree with me but it doesnt mean it is a bad product.
