They are the “write-type” for now :P
Nothing beats a typewriter in my book! I’m a big history buff I love thing old/vintage. There’s not much people in my age group late 20s that are into or even know what a typewriter is. I’m happy to keep that interest alive. They definitely do not make typewriter ribbons like they used to. I have some original ribbons that are 82 years old for my 1938 Underwood no.5 typewriter, the Quality has severely changed no surprise lol. These new ribbons are more like gift wrapping ribbons is what they feel like. Unlike the originals they feel more like leather all & all little more heavy duty. I also believe the ink will not last as long for these new ribbons and the cheap plastic spool they come on unlike the originals made of metal. I already knew before buying I would had to transfer the ribbon from the new plastic version to the metal spool because as they don’t fit my typewriter. But hey I can’t complain too much trying to get good quality ribbon nowadays is next to impossible these are low cost they do what they need to do. I’m happy with the purchase and I will buy more if needed until I find better elsewhere. In the last picture: original typewriter ribbons on metal spools in back.In Front: new plastic modern day ribbons.Pros:Low costOkay amount of inkCons:Plastic spoolsRibbon to thingRibbon not long enoughMeaning less typing or changing out ribbons more buying

You get what you pay for...
Having more than a few typewriters... I was in a bind to get a ribbon quickly... and had heard of Inkvo - but it seemed that their price point was too good to be true... well it is. I replaced an old ribbon (can't even remember how old it was) with this new one... and have to say - not much difference. The ink certainly doesn't seem saturated at all. All in all - pretty disappointing. Will be going back to more specialized suppliers - and likely not purchasing from Inkvo again.

Pretty Good Ribbons, But Spool Was Cracked In Half
I've ordered a number of these black and red ribbons now, but the last delivery of this ribbon I noticed as I just installed it my 1966 Olympia SM9 was that one of the spools had cracked in half. I put the cracked half on the bottom of the spindle and as I've wound a lot of these ribbons onto original metal spools on other machines, I've got a number of backups, so it's not really a big deal, but check your spools to see yours aren't cracked, as they are plastic.

Great Ink Ribbon
This ink ribbon works well in all my machines.Unfortunately, the ribbon spool is plastic, not tin which makes it vulnerable to cracks. You get what you pay for...Overall a low-priced ribbon that works great for the price. I would like to see a little more ink in the ribbons, as they are not extremely saturated.

Arrived as advertised.
Replacement ink ribbon for my 1952 vintage Smith-Corona Silent typewriter. Plastic spools not that appealing but could respool tape onto original factory metal spools that come with each machine. Not that difficult to do and with the modern water based ink on the tape manufactured today ink that gets on fingers and everything else that gets a ink smug is easily cleaned with mild soap and water on a cloth. Back in the day the ink was on your skin for days.
